With just a 15-minute drive to West Jefferson, a 30-minute drive to Boone or a 25-minute drive to Wilkesboro, you can enjoy shops, restaurants, breweries and festivals. From tubing /kayaking on the New River to enjoying the fall foliage to cutting down the family Christmas tree to skiing, there is something to do year-round.

Our family loved our stay at Lookout Lodge! Very cute and the amenities were great. I had a question for the host and he responded very quickly. I highly recommend staying at Lookout Lodge!

Cabin was very cozy!! Beautifully decorated!! Great view off of back deck. Had all essentials needed for stay. Only drawback was being right off a busy roadway. A little noisy at night.

Everything was perfect! The decor of the cabin set the mountain mood and the hosts had everything available that we could possibly need or want. Really enjoyed celebrating our 45rth anniversary there and would definitely go back again with family. I have to say our first concern on arrival was the traffic noise but inside the cabin we didn't hear a thing and slept like babies. Treat yourselves at some point with the beautiful view from from the deck and friendliest locals imaginable!!! Connie and Norman Brooks from Wilmington NC
