About this house rental
Waterfront with a PRIVATE boat ramp — in the back yard (all to yourself). Our home has a private pool, fish cleaning station, plenty of parking for trucks, trailers... and so close to the beach, you can hear the waves crashing from one of the four decks or the dock or while lounging by the pool...
Designed with fun in mind, Fishin' Tradition is one of a kind!
The top floor's large, open design is spacious enough for the whole family to gather, with lots of room for food and fun and enough deck space to soak up the sun! The huge kitchen is a great gathering spot with an oversized island and big windows offering lots of natural light (the sun, not the beer).
The comfy living room furniture and a large L-shaped sofa is relaxing after a fun day. The sofa also converts to a double bed.
The three Master Suites each have their own full, private bathroom. Each suite has double sliding glass doors that open to one of four full-length porches. Three of the bedrooms have king sized beds, and the fourth bedroom offers four twin sized beds (two bunk beds). Each bedroom has a Roku Smart TV.
Two of the bedrooms overlook the beautiful bayside canal and two open to the refreshing pool on the ground level below. The wooden, custom built staircase connects the sleeping area on the first floor to the open air living room and kitchen on the top floor. And your vacation home has FREE high speed WiFi, Roku Smart TVs in every room.
Outside, you will find a dock that spans the full length of the property, complete with an outdoor sink for cleaning your catch, a private boat ramp to launch boats, jet skis, kayaks and other water toys, or you can just float in the canal. There’s lots of room for grilling up the groceries you catch from the dock. Redfish, flounder and trout are our guests’ main catches.
Cook your meals on the downstairs patio area on the gas grill or the Weber charcoal grill. You might even catch some free entertainment if the dolphin or manatee are hanging out in the canal below...
Initial entry to the home is accessible via keyless entry door on the first floor. Prior to your arrival, a code will be sent to you a couple of hours before the 5:00 pm check-in time; so there are no keys to keep up with!
This home was recently purchased by our local family, native to this area since the year 1898j. For over 125 years, seven generations of our family have called this slice of paradise our home. We've owned properties on St. George Island since the 1960's, and lifetimes of memories have been enjoyed in our island homes for decades. So, we're excited to continue that rendition, through our new home, "FISHIN' TRADITION".

Very nice home; beautifully and tastefully decorated! Nice comfy beds, refreshing swimming pool. Dock needs some repairs, but we had fun fishing off of it! Having 5 bathrooms was amazing! Wonderful family dinners and game times around the large dining table! Loved our vacation!

Arrival for check in was 5 but they were still cleaning at 7:30 not their fault but previous check out I guess ? House was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed - I would say outside was shabby chicWorn decks and pool was in need of repair and porch furniture was very old and lounge chairs were not safeIt was quiet and close to everything - pool was wet and comfortable temp - would come again

We arrived after 5pm check in. Hosts were still there cleaning so the 8 of us unloaded and waited. Awkward. 3 large wet dogs bounded from the canal and Jumped all over us and onto the picnic tables that we ended up not using because of that. when we finally went inthe house dogswent in and one pooped on a rug in one of the bedrooms, and the other two wrestled on the king bed covers. The host stripped the bed and took the soiled rug and said she would return with clean linens and bedspread. It was after 9 o’clock before she came back. The house itself was fair. Rickety railings. There were no batteries in the front door lock so we couldn’t use that door. We had to get the code set for the other door after she came back with the linens. There were no kitchen towels or cloths or towels for the upstairs bathroom . But the four bedrooms with each having their own private bathroom is What sold us. The island is great and we had a blast. But I would never rent this house again. I hate giving bad reviews, but it is what it is. We haven’t been offered any discount for the fiasco.
