First ignore my rating on skining. I was not there to ski and it was not ski season. VRBO forced a rating of the skiing experience to procede with the review. This is a great property as noted in all the other reviews. A beautiful relaxing location. The cottage was well stocked including a complimentary box of pancake mix and Vermont maple syrup. Communication from the owner was excellent. On a rainy day he texted indoor activites in the area. This is the place we will stay if in the area again.

We enjoyed our stay. Being only 15 minutes from places to eat, we had total privacy and quiet. The surrounding forest and nearby river are great and make you feel like you have escaped somewhere.
Plenty of room for a family of four with a loft and a private room. Living space was nicely setup.
If you want to prep your own meals during a stay, this place has all that you would need. Coffee maker, grinder, and some coffee were there. A dishwasher was excellent. A washer and drier on site make it nice in case you need to get some clean clothes back in circulation. Towels were on site already.
The propane fireplace was a nice touch and produced great heat when needed.
Communication with the host was great. We didn't need anything during our stay, but it was clear there was support if we needed it.
We went skiing for five days and the size of this cottage made it possible to keep our stuff organized, dry, and ready for the next day.

Gene’s house a gem! A veritable retreat nestled in the trees with a crystal water creek running by. We loved the cathedral ceilings and the views over the forest all around the house. The deck with BBQ is perfect for enjoying nature. The place is brand new, fully equipped and nicely decorated. The perfect spot in beautiful Vermont. Our only regret is not to have been here during the fall season. We can only imagine how magical the place will be when the leaves turn and show their colors! We will come again! Thanks Gene for allowing this peaceful experience in nature!
