Perched above the mountain highway switchbacks, Lookout Lodge is tucked away in an abundant conifer and aspen forest, allowing you to truly escape to the mountains. With floor to ceiling windows in the main living area, you’ll be bathed in sunlight and show-stopping views as soon as you step inside the front door.
The Home
The primary suite features a king-size bed, while each of the three remaining bedrooms offer a queen-size bed with one also offering an additional twin-size daybed. Combined with three and half baths, including a luxurious primary bath off the main bedroom, there’s plenty of room for everyone in the group to have their own space. If you’re a remote worker, there’s even space for you to get some work done – take your pick from the lofted work space in the main bedroom (work with a view!) or from the dedicated office off the family room.

We absolutely loved the Lookout Lodge. The house was private, comfortable and had magnificent views. The deck was a treasure...the perfect spot for a glass of wine at sunset after a great hiking day. We liked being close enough to Boulder to enjoy multiple dinners in town, but far enough away to feel more secluded. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and our hosts at Sky Run were friendly and responsive. All in all, a stellar spot to celebrate our anniversary!

Our stay was nothing short of MAGICAL!! The house, the amenities, the VIEWS! The location was perfect for our stay as it is about 35 minutes to everything we wanted to do…CU Boulder, Chautauqua Park, Arvada festival, Red Rocks (about 45 mins), downtown Golden. I was nervous about the winding mountain road to the house but it wasn’t bad at all and we got to see a lot of wildlife. We had a little nephew stay an afternoon with us and he had fun with the tinker toys, ping pong table, and swing set. The house is full of baby needs so you don’t have to park a bunch of that stuff. There are comments about the house being warm but they just installed a bunch of new AC units and the temp was perfect the entire trip. This host was responsive and added so many neat touches to this house that you really felt at home. I’m recommending it to everyone!
