About this house rental
Although all of the amenities you might need from town are 5 minutes away in Stanwood, the retreat is located on a corner of the island which seems like a world away. With no close neighbors or roads, the quiet at night will afford you restful respite. After a rejuvenating night’s sleep, wake up to the chattering of the bald eagles and soft humming of the alpacas.
The main living area opens onto two large decks perfect for barbecuing or gathering outside with spectacular views of Port Susan and Mount Rainier. A large grass lawn is bordered by beautiful gardens. The lower level of the house is perfect for the kids with two sets of bunk beds, a ping pong table, and lots of room to move about. Should you want to use this level for something else, the beds and table can be easily removed and replaced with tables and chairs or other furniture. An outdoor pickleball/basketball court will entertain for hours
• Located an hour’s drive north of Seattle.
• 20-minute drive from I-5.
• Located on the north end of the island, so while you will feel like you are in a remote location, you are only a 5-minute drive from Stanwood; there is no need to deal with island traffic.
• Camano Island affords the island experience without the hassle of a ferry.

COVID-19 Update: Changes we have made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:
1) All check-ins will now be self-check-in with keypad.
2) In addition to thorough cleaning, all high-touch surfaces will be wiped with bleach and rooms will be well ventilated.
3) All bedding will be washed in high-temperature water.
4) Cleaning shall be performed by owner while wearing protective mask and gloves.

This property is so much more than a vacation rental. This was an experience! The home is beautiful with attention to every detail, fluffy towels, a completely stocked chefs’ kitchen, tons of closet space and a panoramic view of the sound through walls of windows. The highlight for us were the alpacas. We fed them and petted them. Our hosts spent time telling us all about them and shared stories of their years as breeders. Wonderful!

This has been the best VRBO experience we have ever had! It was beautiful and so much fun staying here and getting to feed the alpacas. It was especially nice to see such a great listing with a main floor bedroom and bathroom for accessibility. Karen and Hugo are amazing hosts!

The home was beautiful! Lovely open space with a ton of windows to view the water. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and listening to the birds while watching the bunnies scamper around. It was so relaxing and exactly what we were looking for. Thanks Karen for a wonderful stay!

What a unique property! We loved our stay here. Between the stunning view, abundance of space and the cute alpacas - it was such a fun place to stay overnight.
