With 3,000 square feet of living space, this 3 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath Ocean View Home can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests and 1 small child. Just recently, we have decided to open it up so others could enjoy what we have experienced for many years. We are only 10 minutes from the famous San Juan Mission, 20 minutes to Irvine and Irvine Spectrum and about an hour to Los Angeles or San Diego. Its also a short 45 minutes to Disneyland, Sea World or Lego Land your sense of seclusion in this home is unique. Large enough for a Small Group Get-Away, this ultra private ocean view home is close to restaurants, great dining and the beach! You'll have great views of the ocean from almost every room downstairs and the master bedroom suite upstairs. We stayed in this home for 6 weeks this January-March 2024. It is located in the hills, about a mile from the ocean. It has a great view, fenced backyard and as other reviewers have mentioned it is very private. Only one neighbor with a thick hedge between the lots. It was very clean upon arrival and David the host is very responsive and helpful.
The down side is it is a 40 year old home that appears to be mostly original. The appliances are older and some of the furniture (the TV room especially - where we had a tendency to hang out in the evening) is shot. I think it’s time for an update. For a shorter stay these issues might not have mattered as much.
The location worked out very well for us. We lived in the area for many years and appreciated the easy access to the San Clemente pier and beach walk and Dana Point Harbor. San Clemente has been known to have an abundance of coyotes living in their many canyons and that has not changed. I only mention this if you travel with a dog. There are packs of them that showed up in the small park across the street at dusk, in the canyon below the house and we had one in the backyard one morning. Our dog ran it off but a smaller dog might be in trouble.

David’s home is by far the most comfortable and beautiful VRBO we have ever stayed in! It is extremely spacious and has absolutely gorgeous ocean views in the backyard. It was amazing to experience the sunrise and sunset from the backyard deck and the master suite balcony. The home is stocked with everything you need and then some. We loved utilizing the cozy fireplaces at night, in the living room and master bedroom. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are very kind. We also enjoyed getting to know the city during our stay. There are endless dining options available within a close distance. David is an awesome communicator and made our stay flawless from check in to check out. We are so thankful to have come across this listing and highly recommend David’s VRBO to anyone looking for a place to stay in the San Clemente area. We will definitely be booking again next time we need accommodations in that area.

This is a nice, large home in an upscale neighborhood. There’s an abundance of privacy and as can be seen from the photos, the view from the backyard is incredible. There’s plenty of room and kitchen implements are provided. David’s a good host and very responsive.
