About this house rental
Come enjoy a true IOP experience at the Sea Glass house! With 8 bedrooms and 7 baths, you will have plenty of room for your family or group. It’s in a prime location to walk to the restaurants, shops and bars in the front beach area of IOP. After a short walk back from the beach during the day, you can enjoy the pool in the afternoon or gather on 1 of the 2 rooftop decks. Amazing views of east and west for a beautiful sunrise or sunset.
The light-filled open kitchen and great room offers plenty of seating and space for all. The bedrooms are spacious and seven of the eight bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The elevator goes from the garage up to the roof top level. All bedrooms have 43 inch 4k Samsung Smart TVs. Some of the updates under new ownership include family room and kitchen furnishings, yard improvements, landscape lighting, larger TVs, all new linens, redesigned garage/game room area with a shuffle board/pool table and TV, corn hole, new outdoor rooftop deck conversation seating, general art and décor, a new grill, Xbox and Keurig coffee maker.

We did our best to take advantage of all the spaces in the house — from the rooftop deck to game room to the pool. It was a great spot with a short walk to the beach. And even though it was near the bars and “downtown” it wasn’t busy at all. Even in high August. We did notice that some areas of the house could use some updating. The biggest issue we felt was in the game room area. All the ceiling HVAC and pipes were wrapped in deteriorating and what looked like mold from the humidity and dampness. Prices falling and such was a bit uck. The other thing was the creaky stairs. Since there are lots of levels and beds on each it was challenging to sneak in and out in the early mornings or late night. The only area which was not quite describe well on the site was the top floor bedrooms. There is no door to the double queen. And the queen bedroom has to walk through the double queen to use the stairs and bathroom. It worked out ok for us, but we could see where that might be odd for another group. All and all we enjoyed the house and our week at IOP.

This house worked very well for our multigenerational family gathering. The oldest kids/young adult were on the 4th level (which was a little warm but ok), grandparents on main level, and everyone else on the 2nd floor one up from pool. The kids used the pool every day and loved the game room - nice to have the extra space to spread out. The kitchen worked fine even with so many people. Nobody wanted to get in the elevator but it worked fine. We all got a lot of steps in with the vertical living but the arrangement worked well, very close to beach.

Love the location and plenty of space! Game room and pool were perfect to keep everyone entertained while at the house. Would have loved ceiling fans or at least box fans in each bedroom. Might consider some texture strips to the stairs to prevent falls. Overall, highly recommend this property!

The property is lovely, in a great location, and was very comfortable for us. However, there was a significant black mold problem in the game room, with mold covering the AC ductwork throughout the ceiling and the ductwork insulation flaking off pieces of mold-covered insulation onto the floor. The property managers said they were aware of the mold problem and sent someone out to spray it with bleach, but this didn’t address the issue and it prevented us from enjoying that space. This seems to be a long term issue and should have been disclosed in the listing. Had we known of it, we would have rented a different property, particularly as we had young children with us.
