Island Salonsaari is a great place to get acquainted with Finnish nature, relaxing and fishing. The cottage is located near the Pirunvuori mountain and forest, to which there are hiking trails of varying difficulty, along which you can also ride mountain bikes. Not far from the top of the mountain is the stone castle of Emil Danielsson Kivilinna, which is open for visits in summer, but it is worth visiting the castle at any time of the year. From the top of the mountain, views of the lake and forests open. You can visit the Piru cave by following a different path.
Ellivuori Summer Theater is 550 meters from the cottage.
The ski slopes of Mount Ellivuori start 700 meters from the cottage, Ellivuori Ski Center is 1.7 km from the cottage.
There are six lighted and snow-covered slopes, varying in difficulty from green to black, suitable for the whole family.
On cross-country skiing, you can start your route even from the very doorstep.
The nearest beach of lake Rautavesi with a boat dock is 250 meters away. A more convenient descent for motor boats is located about 600 meters from the cottage.
