About this house rental
Dutch Courage is a super Pawleys Island home that is just steps away from having sand between your toes! Newly renovated with a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances perfect for the avid cook. Enjoy your family meals at the awesome dining room table fit with a lazy Susan. New beds throughout the house gives plenty of room for the whole family. Right across the street from the nearest beach access in the "Bird's Nest" of the South end of Pawleys, this house is hard to miss - it is Bright blue with a colorful "Dutch Courage" sign out front! The porches on the house (both screened and unscreened) are great for those sunny beach days and warm nights relaxing from a full day in the sand.
The first floor features one bedroom with a King bed and the second bedroom features a Queen bed. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms that feature a Queen in each and one room with 2 Twin beds. There is a lofted area upstairs in the hall with a Twin bed with a trundle. This home is sure to become a family favorite! Dutch Courage comes complete with the sound of the ocean hear best from the front porch and a less than a minute walk to the beach.

Loved the house and location. Updated nicely especially the bathrooms and kitchen. Could use a hand mixer in the kitchen. The mattresses need replaced as they were not really good shape and the upstairs was very musty. All in all, we would rent again especially if these things were taken care of.

I stayed in this house in the Summer of 93 with my girlfriend and her family. I returned with her and our 3 kids and son in law and daughter in law. It has plenty of room and you cant beat the location to the beach. Only negative is mattresses in downstair bedrooms werent the best (or maybe my 55yo back isn't the best?)

We have been staying at Dutch Courage every year for 4 years and plan to continue for as long as it is available! Beautiful home, lots of amenities, across the street from beach access. Always enjoy eating at Chia Blossom and getting fresh seafood at Pawleys Island Fish Market. Always a wonderful vacation!
