The location of this rental was great. The hot tub was nice after hiking. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to cooking meals. Per other reviews, the driveway was steep but it wasn’t a problem for our minivan. The campfire was perfect after a long day. I do recommend a new bed on the bottom floor as it sinks in the middle, better lighting in bedrooms for late night reading and rugs at entryway. Otherwise this was a great trip. Thank you.

The location was perfect, especially for a first time visitor. My daughter and I loved the hot tub and the living room area. We were able to both relax and spend time together. It was the perfect size. I will say - I wish the window doors to the hot tub had blinds and/or curtains. They were facing the bedroom I slept in and the kitchen, and it gave me a lot of anxiety to have them so open and exposed at night like that, especially since it was just me and my daughter. Other than that, it was the best spot. We especially enjoyed Mammoth Arch next to us and how peaceful it was during the day.

This isn’t Abe Lincoln’s log cabin, but he was alive when it was last renovated!! Let’s begin. Looking for a rugged outdoors experience where nature and your home intertwine and become one? Look no farther than the Mammoth Arch cabin in Red River Gorge. If you're feeling extra after a few drinks, turn the cabin bathroom light on and you'll have an instant disco dance floor, complete with strobes. While you relax, understand that nature is all around you. Crawling across the floors, as if you've invaded their space, will be wooly worms, red worms, and large spiders. We removed four spiders, 3 woolies, and 1 redworm in less than 48 hours. Once you've de-bugged the living space you can flip the lid back on your dirt filled hot tub and sink into the murky waters. Relax. Listen to nature and climb out and take a shower with your shampoo and body wash that are smaller than travel sized toothpaste tubes. You get one of each to share between all occupants of your group! You will find copious amounts of kitchenware, some towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Bring coffee filters! Before checkout wash your towels/cloths in the stacked washer and dryer that I'm pretty sure will tip over by the time the house cleaner arrives. Pretty sketch but it may do the job, one last time! If it does go south, and something catches fire, the one removed smoke detector and the one with the battery hanging out may be of no help. Not worth it.
