With two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, it strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. The highlight of this mountain oasis is undoubtedly the hot tub on the spacious porch, where guests can unwind while soaking in breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. For those seeking a touch of adventure, there's a bed tucked away in the loft, providing a unique sleeping experience with its own private balcony for a view of the stars! This mountain chalet cabin is a sanctuary of tranquility, inviting guests to savor the serenity of the natural world while enjoying the comforts of home.

The Neighborhood:
Mountain Chalet is located in the Paradise valley development! It sits just a few minutes off of highway 715. At the same turn as Redpoint BBQ! only a few minutes from the restaurant.
Mtn, Chalet sits right off the gravel road and is above the valley.
Getting Around:
A couple parking spots just off the gravel road. Easy to get in and out of the area back to the main road. and 2 minutes to Redpoint BBQ!
Other Things to Note:
Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.
Pets are allowed at this cabin. We charge a flat pet fee of $50 for up to two pets. Please be sure to add any pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do so, reach out to us so we can apply our pet fee.
This cabin utilizes well water that we filter for bathing, cooking and drinking. Though we change filters regularly, the water does retain a natural sulphuric smell. Guests are welcome to bring their own drinking water if they’d like.

Overall, it was a good experience. The cabin was clean and well stocked with the basic necessities needed for a short stay. It is pretty secluded, but within reasonable driving distance from most activities in the Red River Gorge area. Most of the previous comments about the condition of the cabin were accurate and expected. The floors are in bad shape, which prevents a couple of the doors from opening fully. The rear door is very difficult to open and close. The cabin could use a good updating. The beds were OK, but should be replaced soon. The kitchen was well stocked with up-to-date appliances. The cabin lacks seating options. The couch is horrible and needs to be replaced ASAP. We used the hot tub multiple times. The cover is in bad shape and should be replaced. The hot tub worked and got hot, but is also nearing the end of its lifespan. This cabin does have a small rodent issue. We noticed mouse droppings on the kitchen counters each morning. This did not affect our stay overall because we did not keep any food items out on the counters at night. But this definitely needs to be addressed. Overall, it was a great stay, but we probably would not rent this specific cabin again.

Bare bones but adequate, we stayed in winter and it is quite drafty. Most things on the cabin are slanted downhill (ex: floor, microwave) and the intense winds during our stay made us nervous because of the sounds the house made and the trees in close proximity (including two growing through the porch). The faux fireplace heater does not work.
