Just 10 minutes north of Winterset, stay in a Covered Bridge House. You’ll love visiting the historic bridges & John Wayne Birthplace Museum. Perfect for families and groups, enjoy relaxing at our newly renovated “modern farmhouse style” home. A quiet retreat, nestled in beautiful rolling hills. Built by Eli Cox family, renowned covered bridge builders. It’s a short 5 minute drive to local attractions: Winterset Cidery, Covered Bridges Winery & Guye Woods.
The space
Relax and unwind in our beautifully kept farmhouse. The main floor is a warm, inviting space with lots of places to sit and chat, play games or enjoy a festive dinner.

- Must see dining room with picture window seats 8, can expand to 12
- High-speed WIFI, 50” Smart Roku TV with all your favorite streaming services
- New, luxurious marble bathroom with shower
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Modern washer & dryer in the kitchen
The second floor is a quiet, private retreat with 4 bedrooms: king bed, two queen beds, and 2 twin beds, sleeps 8.
- Perfect for couple’s, groups and families with children
- Newly renovated, modern farmhouse style bathroom with shower
- Each bedroom has blackout shades and deluxe bedding to enhance your sleep

We enjoyed our stay and the farmhouse. Everything in great shapeThe only negative was dust from the road. It is terribly dry in Iowa right now and farmers are combining so dust was badWe would definitely return!
