Mirak is located in the southern part of Tulum, in “Aldea Zama,” a new development, approximately 3 miles from the beach, 1–2 miles from the most beautiful cenotes, and less than 1 mile from supermarkets and fruit stores. We are located very close to the town center (1 km). Tulum is a hotspot for real estate, so you’ll see construction around and next to the property, with unpaved roads.
There are no building codes here, so it can be noisy.
Aldea Zama gate hours: 24 hours. Please be aware that the power supply in Tulum is unstable. There may be power outages that last all night. All our floors are made of polished concrete typical of the region; this material is porous, so marks on the floor do not mean it is dirty—all floors are clean. Please be aware that you may encounter bugs in the property. We are in the jungle. All properties are cleaned before arrivals, but you may encounter bugs at any time—ants, mosquitoes, scorpions (non-venomous), spiders (non-venomous), etc., etc. Please remember that you are not in a city—you are in the Caribbean jungle.

Do you arrange taxis or transportation?
We can arrange for taxis to pick you up at the properties upon request. If you need a taxi between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m., you must notify the manager assigned to your stay before 10 p.m. so it can be arranged for your desired time. If taxis are not requested before 10 p.m., unfortunately we will not be able to arrange them after that time.
How far are we from the beach?
Getting around Tulum is quite easy; if you rent a bike, the nearest beach is about 30 minutes away from our properties. By car, it’s 15 minutes away.
Is the pool or plunge pool heated?
Neither is heated, since the average temperature in Tulum is 28 °C.
Where is the nearest store or convenience store?
We recommend that our guests bring their own groceries, since there are no stores within walking distance. The nearest supermarket is a 10-minute drive away. You can either go to “Super Aki” or “Chedraui.”
Can we change our reservation?
We do not change any confirmed reservations due to factors beyond our control; we can only extend reservation dates if we have availability.
Can I have more friends stay at the property?
Guests not included in the original confirmed reservation are not allowed in the property
