Peaceful, comfortable getaway conveniently located! Carol was a very attentive host and responded promptly to any questions. We were delighted to be surprised with a dozen farm fresh eggs from their chickens and a bottle of maple syrup from their trees as welcome gifts! Kitchen was well-stocked with cooking equipment. Spices were very basic-salt, pepper, Italian spice blend, but it was more than sufficient for our needs. The bedroom on the main floor was very comfortable and spacious. Window AC and terrific ceiling fans kept the house very cool in the 80 degree humid weather, and the basement bedroom also had a window AC unit and a floor fan, even though that level of the house is much cooler. If you’re staying in the basement bedroom, it’s much easier to leave your suitcases by the lower entrance to bring them in the house. The only way to access the lower level from the main level while inside the house is a small spiral staircase, which is difficult to carry suitcases down. Carol’s husband set up all the logs in the fire pit and we had our local relatives over for s’mores and stargazing on our last night at the property. Such a lovely way to end our stay, and Carol even provided us with marshmallow toasting forks! Highly recommend this property, and we look forward to staying there again for our next visit to the area.

Very clean cabin, wonderful set up, kitchen looked new, bathroom was clean, and wonderful host--super helpful especially with communication, and overall a wonderful stay! The cabin is set back in the woods and very quiet and cozy. Stay here, it is the place! :)
