This gorgeous townhome was build in 1910 and is located on a Historic Landmark private cobblestone street, Ellsworth Terrace. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and overall we’re satisfied with the house. It’s an older home so you’ll experience the squeaky floors, water pressure issues, etc. but nothing that impacted our stay too much. However, it had snowed a couple days before our arrival and the steep stairs to the front door were very slick with frozen over snow. After going up and down a couple times, it felt dangerous. I reached out to the management company to see if they had de-icer or salt on site and they did not which is a little weird. They instead told me to “pour hot water on the stairs” and anyone who has experience with decent winters know that’s about the dumbest thing to tell someone to do given it was getting above freezing downpour entire stay. We ended up making a run to Home Depot and bought our own de-icer so we could maneuver the stairs with less stress. There was also a broken outlet in the upstairs bathroom and I reported that the last time we stayed there in August, but it had not been addressed. The management company said they would try to get someone out, but then never followed up. Again, not a major issue, but does speak to the effectiveness of the management company. All in all, we likely will boom again for its location and the space is comfortable and uniquely decorated. We especially enjoyed the vinyl player and the wide array of vinyls! It made the stay feel more special.

The home was presented exactly as advertised and was located perfectly for our stay. Our host was responsive and we all enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again in the future. The neighbor man across the street was so very kind as well which was an added bonus!

Location is great for Pitt, CMU, Shadyside access. 5 adults slept very comfortably with lots of space in the house. Very clean and nicely decorated. Cozy vibe. Seating space in the living room could have been better but by far not a big deal if you don’t plan to be in front of tv as a group. Great comms with host. Would stay again.
