The Pigeon Nest Cottage is ideal for the cost-conscious traveler or couple who appreciates a cozy, homey look venue for a getaway, and only a 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The little 220 ft.²addition fits perfectly in the new craze for "tiny house" living. It is connected to owners home by a 20x18 ft screened private veranda.
Situated in the Pigeon Point area of Beaufort close to the historic downtown, Chateau Petite Cottage aka Pigeon Nest Cottage is a small place with a lot of heart. The cottage is nestled among ancient Live Oak trees draped with Spanish moss, across the road from the Beaufort River. It offers our guests: a kitchenette (microwave oven, sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, 2 burner portable stove, and dishes,pots n' pans); coffee and breakfast bars for your first morning here, a bathroom with a shower and bath towels (including beach towels) beach chairs, and boogie boards are in shed..
. Bedroom/day room with a very comfortable daybed, that can either be used as 2 twins or a king size ; an HD flat-screen TV with cable channels; WIFI access; a bistro table with 2 chairs; in addition, you'll have access to a front-loading washer and dryer.
Outside, the cottage offers a large yard surrounded by a white picket fence ....as well as a private screened gazebo for guests .and a separate patio seating area with a table and chairs for relaxing and enjoying the flowers .
. A whimsical flower garden is in a continual process of "being complete."
In February of 2015 Diane's younger sister Bonnie passed away, and it spurred the idea of a memory garden for her.... a meandering path, graced with ferns, roses, daisies, hydrangeas, misc pretty flowers, as well as a precious pink flowered bush called "little Bonnie" have all been planted with love. You will also find teapots, bunnies and assorted little treasures to make you smile. Please spend time enjoying........ my flowers want to see you...
You also will get to have the delightful experience of meeting my feline companion Good Golly Miss Molly, long haired calico. She loves to be petted.!!! Molly is an indoor outdoor cat, So please don’t let your dogs outside unattended.

If you’re here looking at this spot and the idea of a tiny home is fun for you, don’t hesitate to book. It’s beautiful, it’s in a great area with a lot to do, incredibly dog friendly. The host is as lovely as can be. The details she thought of in creating this place make it exceptional. We really enjoyed the out door living room, and the downtown area. We visited the “boneyard” beach at hunting island using the provided state park pass. Definitely recommend it. Look up the local “tree walk” as another way to explore the neighborhood. We will be returning to this spot again. So grateful for our host for creating this spot for people like us!

The bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress was lumpy. Loved all the flowers.
