In the center of Banner Elk lies a charming two-bedroom cottage that provides the ideal retreat for your upcoming mountain vacation. Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, you'll be just a short 10-minute drive from the slopes of Sugar Mountain Resort and a 12-minute drive from the thrilling runs of Beech Mountain Resort. For a day of adventure, Grandfather Mountain is just a 24-minute drive away, where you can explore the iconic Mile High Swinging Bridge and encounter native wildlife.
Back at the cabin, you'll find all the comforts of home, including free WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, a cozy fireplace, and a smart TV with cable channels and streaming. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, outside deck grill, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, blender, and toaster, allowing you to easily prepare delicious meals. Enjoy your culinary creations at the dining table, surrounded by the cabin's rustic charm. Dining is also available on the wonderful deck where you feel like you are in a tree house away from the world!
After a day of outdoor exploration, unwind on the balcony with a cup of coffee, your favorite beverage or relax in the living room, where you'll find good old fashioned games to unplug and enjoy some family time. The cabin also features two bathrooms, plenty of towels, guest toiletries, a hair dryer, an iron and board, air conditioning in both bedrooms, heating throughout, and wonderful linens, ensuring your comfort throughout your stay. With a baby gate, high chair, pack and play and games for kids, this cabin is perfect for families. Secure parking in the garage completes the package, making your mountain retreat a truly carefree experience.

~Stairs are required to enter this property. We ask our guests to make sure this is something they are comfortable with prior to booking.
~The drive does have a slight incline as so many mountain properties do! It is what make us the mountains. It is paved, however, manageable by 99% of our guests regardless of the type of car they may drive. And... it is maintained in the winter by a wonderful local gentleman on call for us with his snow plow! He never lets us down and we feel super fortunate to have him look after our driveway on the many wintry days the high country produces!
~The property does have 1 security camera facing the driveway and mounted above the garage. This is for monitoring the property when it is unoccupied and for monitoring winter conditions of the drive. We turn it off when our guests arrive except to periodically check conditions of snow accumulation. There are no other cameras inside or out on our property.

Lisa was welcoming and very responsive. The house was perfect for our family of 4 and enjoyed having our pup with us during our stay. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Lovely stay.

Perfect location! Cabin was very clean, ready to occupy ahead of check-in time. Host responded quickly to us when had a question or need assistance and was so helpful. We appreciated the fireplace & firewood that was provided. We definitely will come again.

We had a great stay. The house was clean and had all of the amenities needed for a short or long stay. The location was perfect, close to all nearby restaurants and hiking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the owners Lisa and Frank were easily accessible and great hosts.
