Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

The property was better than what was described, just to say that I didn’t have to bring anything but just the food. Fully in its total word equipped. We all loved it and will save it for later booking. Thank you

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointed in our stay this year. We have stayed here the past few years and haven’t had any issues. However, when we arrived to the house, we noticed the blinds were broken (more like destroyed) on the main door and a bedroom window upstairs. Maintenance arrived shortly after and took note. We received a phone call a couple of hours later asking when maintenance could come by and fix the blinds. I told them to come tomorrow (Sunday the 6th) to fix the blinds. No one ever came by or called us during our stay to see about repairing the blinds. I suppose I should’ve called Garden City Realty and reminded them about the blinds, but I didn’t feel like having my vacation revolve around house maintenance. In addition, the commode upstairs was plugged when we arrived and clearly had not been cleaned. The inspector was able to unplug the commode when he came by Saturday. We went out and bought commode cleaner and cleaned it ourselves afterwards. There was also sand in the floor of the spare bedrooms upstairs. My dad found a vacuum in the house and vacuumed the floors. The upstairs was obviously neglected during the cleaning process.Again, I suppose I should’ve called the day we arrived and reported these things, but we figured we could clean the house quicker than reporting it to the realty company and waiting for someone else to do this. I never expect the house to be “sterile” when we arrive, but at least make it look clean. ‘’Ruff Life” really lived up to its name this year. The ball definitely got dropped.
