Nestled in the Animas River Valley surrounded by the San Juan Mountains, the breathtaking mountain town of historic Durango awaits.
With the Animas River—El Río de las Animas (River of Souls)—running through and just steps away from San Juan National Forest, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor aficionados with gold medal fly fishing waters, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Durango is also popular for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, hunting, off-roading, year-round fishing, and golfing. A visit to Durango would not be complete without a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, with stunning mountain scenery and an education on the area's mining history.
The Durango Resort offers apartment-style accommodation with fully equipped kitchens, a fitness center and two outdoor hot tubs with breathtaking mountain views.
The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.

Starting October 1st, 2023, there will be a $12.00 nightly parking fee for all guests.

1. Nearby construction across the street will continue through September 2025, causing lane closures and daytime noise from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; expect dust, odors, and work crews—contact the resort with questions.
2. From January 12 to April 30, 2026, the resort will undergo elevator modernization (elevator unavailable; stair access required), a Wi-Fi upgrade (intermittent service possible), and roof replacement (occasional noise and restricted area access)—dates are subject to change.

The room was clean and had everything we needed. Had enough space for our family of 4. Great that it was walking distance to the center of town.

The staff was very welcoming. I honestly did not interact with beyond checking in. The facility was very well kept. It was quiet, and the location just around the corner from downtown was excellent.

The property needs updated. The smells are bad. The location is perfect. Replace the carpet, add some decent lighting.
