About this house rental
Listing Description:
Beautiful home located in a quiet country setting on pristine Norris Lake in the Dodson Creek Cove! This property has a great floor plan, outdoor living and the perfect location on Norris Lake. Conveniently located 10 minutes to Maynardville, TN and only 30 minutes to downtown Knoxville. We are neighbors with Beach Island Marina & Bubba Brews! The home comes with a private dock & 1 boat is allowed. Our pontoon rental stays in the other slip! There is a gradual grade to get down to the water with a complete concrete walkway. No more than 3 cars allowed due to limited parking.
The Space:
-We have multiple pontoon rentals available upon request. You must have a valid boaters license or be born before 1989 to operate. Please note we deliver the boat to the property & the boat can be taken out anytime during your stay, just note per our insurance, the boats are not to be taken out after dark. All Bookings must be made a week in advance to guarantee delivery. All boats must be returned with a full tank of gas to avoid additional charges. Please note we do not rent tubes but local marinas do & the boat is to be returned to the house after the rental period is over.
Rates are as follows:
Pontoon rental - $325 per day plus taxes & $50 insurance & taxes.
-There are also kayaks included with the rental close to the dock. Please note that we do not provide life jackets. Please be sure to return to the kayak rack at the property once finished!
-The home is located at the end of Dodson Creek Cove right past Bubba Brews & Beach Island Marina on Jesse Rd!
-The home is equipped with a spacious kitchen equipped with a standard coffee maker, dishwasher, large fridge, stove, over the range microwave & much more! The home also includes a hot tub, weber gas grill with propane on site that we provide, Fiber WIFI, & Samsung smart TV’s throughout the entire house in select rooms as well as a double deck with their own patio area!
-There is a private dock with a swim ladder! One boat is allowed per house. Our pontoon rental stays in the other slip!
-It is not allowed to leave your trailer at the property & is highly recommended to launch prior to going to the property. The road is short but is a single lane and is tight & peaks & valleys in spots which would make turning around with a trailer difficult. We however do provide several options. There’s an additional property we own 2 minutes away that it can be dropped at in the field beside the house or we have a gated warehouse less then 10 minutes away that it can be left at for the duration of your stay. Just please be sure to let us know which option you prefer as it gets closer. You can put in at Beach Island Marina (5 mins away)!
-Please note, this part of the lake has year around water. Just please be advised that lake levels are lowered by the TVA in the Fall and raised again in the Spring & can fluctuate in off season months.
Guest Access:
The entire house is available except the detached garage & no more than 3 cars allowed at the property & 1 boat per house.
Other Things to Note:
-Check in is at 4 & Check out is at 10 & you must be 25 to rent
-House includes All Linens, bath towels, pots, pans, utensils, baking sheets, etc.
-A STARTER supply of dish soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, a roll of toilet paper per bathroom, & trash bags (indoor & outdoor)
-Recommended items to bring: Extra trash bags, paper products, soaps, detergents, toilet paper, beach towels for hot tubs or lake, & all personal soaps, shampoo, & conditioners.
-3 Car MAX limit as this property shares a steep driveway with our other property there.
-No smoking or parties allowed anywhere on the property.
-We provide all firewood & propane tanks.
-There are outdoor security cameras for protection since this is a year round rental.
-Check in and out times are firm unless approved in advance.
-Nearest grocery store is Food City which is 10 minutes away.
-No pets are allowed at our properties
-WIFI is KUB Fiber
-Indoor Fireplace is for owners use only
-Please note that there is one slip available for guest use. We keep our pontoon rental in the other slip as stated above.
-There is another property beside this one if you need larger groups. The other House sleeps 11.
-There is no jumping off the upper level of the dock. There are steel cables that run underneath to keep the dock in place

The house was very clean and perfect for our girls trip. We really enjoyed our stay. only recommendation is to maybe put blinds or curtains up on the windows on the double door on the lower level... was recommended by the girls that stayed in the bunk beds for when they are changing and such. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

This place was the perfect getaway for us. Plenty of space in the house but it couldn’t beat the floating dock! We were able to enjoy ourselves in a nice quiet cove and float around all day.

Pros: The house is beautiful and accurately described in the listing. The house was very clean. The kitchen was stocked well and having 3 refrigerators (and 2 sets of washer/dryer) was amazing! The decks were nicely furnished and we loved the outdoor ceiling fans. The dock was a relatively easy walk to and from the house. The dock also had lounge chairs which we weren’t expecting but a nice surprise! We only had to contact the rental company at the end to pick up trash. They were extremely responsive and arrived in no time to empty the outside bins. Everyone loved the house and we all agreed we didn’t want to leave. Cons: There isn’t a kitchen table inside. There is seating for 5 at the bar and there is outdoor seating. It wasn’t bad eating outside because of the fans and the breeze. However, our family likes to play cards in the evening. We played on the deck, but when it got dark and the bugs came out we had to sit on the floor around the coffee table to play. The other negative is there are no currents or blinds in the bunkhouse room. This made for early rising for the kids that slept in that room.Pro/con: there’s a permanent resident directly across the lake. She likes to *blare* her Sirius radio on her outdoor speakers. There were times it was so loud we couldn’t talk to one another. She played it most evenings. Pro/con depends on the station she chooses. :)Ultimately, it is a great house and I hope it’s available the next time we go.

The house is great and fits the description well. Access to the dock is easy, concrete sidewalk which has a slope but it is not bad and then a several steps. The kitchen is well stocked and family room has good seating. The porches have nice tables to eat at or play games and plenty of seating. The main bedroom is huge and takes up the entire top floor, bed is comfortable. The two other bedrooms are in the basement, one private where we had 3 teen girls stay and the open bunk area where 3 boys stayed. There is one full bath in basement and one at top of basement stairs along with the master bath. Gunner was super communicative and friendly. We kept our trailer at his lot which was super convenient and close by. We put our boat in for free at Brogan's boat ramp which was easy. The driveway to the house is steep and the road in is very narrow and on the side of the hill so you can't get a trailer to the house. We loved this side of the lake compared to the Powell River side but the marinas are smaller. We will definitely stay here again for our trips to Norris.
