About this house rental
Craftsman style custom designed and decorated throughout. Builders personal home with 4000+ sq ft. with innovative ideas not yet seen in Hartwell. 6 Large Bedrooms, 4 Full Baths. Four of the six bedrooms have King beds! Main level - Master (King Suite) and Guest (Queen) Bedrooms. The private Master BR Suite includes a luxurious master bath with separate over-sized Jacuzzi jet tub and shower areas. Two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, downstairs den, dining area, and all tiled porches enjoy the big water view of Lake Hartwell! Upstairs has 2 BR's (Both Kings) with a separate reading/nursery room that can handle a queen blow up mattress for a small 7th bedroom, downstairs 2 BR’s (1 King and 2 Queens plus a set of Bunkbeds), 1 Bath, and den with wet bar. In-ground fire pit on backyard patio overlooking the lake, double garage on main. WI-FI, large flat screen HDTV, in Master Bedroom. About 30 minutes for Clemson Football and Graduations!
We have found that groups where everyone wants to be comfortable find this home the best! There are several areas to sit together both inside and outside as well as plenty of privacy for all. There are 4 Large Bedrooms with King beds. Two more Large Bedrooms support 1 Queen bed and 2 Queen beds and a set of bunkbeds respectively.
There are two bedrooms on the main floor with only one step from the garage in case anyone has difficulty climbing stairs. This allows everyone to enjoy the beauty of the lake and be in the middle of all of the fun!
You are more welcome to bring any floating devices, rings, floats, noodles, etc for your use. We kindly ask that you not leave them behind for other guests as our insurance does not allow us to provide any non-Coast Guard Approved floating devices. We will leave a few Coast Guard Approved life vests for your use.
Summer water fun is not the only wonderful thing to do around Tugalo Heights!!
We find Fall and Winter to be great for day trip exploring!! Besides several really wonderful small towns in the area, here are a few other ideas we love!

We had a wonderful time with our large family celebrating Thanksgiving. We enjoyed several local activities such a a winery, hiking, and the safari. The adults loved interacting with the animals as much as the kids. Plenty to do in the cold weather for a long weekend stay.

The lake house has everything you need from kitchen to bathroom. We enjoyed the fire pit and porch for grilling.

nice place. we had a good time. The only drawback was that I was told by the owner it was only a 30 minute ride to Clemson Football Stadium when it was a 45-50 minute ride. This was farther than I wanted to stay.

Overall: Spacious, well-equipped but dated and worn. Interior needs repainting; water damage above ceiling outside master. Garage opener was appreciated during rainy week. At this price point, we expected more. Decor can easily be updated by trip to TJ Maxx.Outdoors: Large covered/uncovered deck. Patio furniture (uncovered) is rusted and mismatched replacement cushions. Wrought iron needs repainting; 1 rocker had mold. Grill was dirty. Gas fireplace didn’t work. Dock was great, upper level had nice loungers; lower dock needs seats for elders. Fire pit had rusted chairs and sad cushions.House: TVs in master and main family room. 1 upstairs room had monitor Firestick. Basement had no TV despite listing photos, disappointing for young adults during a rainy week.Cleanliness: Patio lights covered in old webs. See pics.Layout: Main level: 2 full baths (master guest). Upstairs: 2 beds share hall bath. Basement: 2 beds share hall bath. No dressers-just flimsy bedside stands, though closet space was ample.Kitchen: Fully stocked with cookware, dishes, appliances. Linens: Plenty of blankets, beach and bath towels.Stop-bys: Someone parked outside briefly maybe did something in yard without notice. Owners did a weird boat drive-by. Didn't realize it was them until revisited VRBO listing. 3 family photos displayed; better left out of guest rentals. Past reviews seem unusually generous possibly written by friends & family. Returning 7 years doubtful unless rate discounted.
