Perfect for couples or a small family, the cabin backs up to a forest of towering pine trees giving the sense of total seclusion from the outside world. Wildlife of all kinds can be seen while sipping your morning coffee on the expansive rear deck. Weyerhaeuser forest property is located directly behind SERENE ON THE STREAM ensuring complete privacy from nearby cabins. Skip a rock or dip your toes in the stream, hike and explore the acre+ property or just sit and enjoy the quiet of the wilderness. It’s your time . . . the choice is yours.
SERENE ON THE STREAM’s inviting, open floor plan boasts a vaulted ceiling and cozy, gas fireplace. The living room has a leather, queen size, pull-out sofa that provides additional sleeping for 2 guests and cozy accent chair, plus a reading nook area set along the windows with a perfect view of the tree canopy. A dining table with seating for 2, as well as bar seating for 3 at the kitchen island, provides amble seating for guests. The fully stocked kitchen has all the essentials and the black stainless steel appliances and custom live edge concrete counters give the kitchen a contemporary rustic feel.
The cabin’s master bedroom has a king size bed with luxuriously comfortable mattress and linens that will guarantee a restful night’s sleep. The spa like bathroom has a large, glass surround shower with body sprays, a separate soaker tub and waterfall edge quartz counter.
A “tree-house” feel can be experienced anywhere on the over 800 sq ft of outdoor living space. The deck has both covered and uncovered spaces, with inviting seating areas, a floor to ceiling rock fireplace, hot tub, gas grill and dining table for 4. We chose this cabin to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. We loved the cabin, setting and decor. Christmas tree and holiday decor was a nice touch.
Very heavy active construction sites very close and on two sides of cabin throughout our visit. Cabin under construction to north had as many as 9 worker vehicles parked around site and in road including entrance to our driveway. No blinds on north side of living room left us completely exposed. Cabin construction on east side of cabin and just above our cabin looking down on us was very active as well with 5-7 workers and multiple vehicles there during our entire stay. Cell phone coverage must be spotty so workers stood a few feet from our front door and smoked cigarettes and made phone calls at the high point. Again, no blinds on the front door and kitchen windows so much of the living area was open and on display to all the workers. There were heavy equipment forklift cranes operating on two of the three days. Construction started around 7am each morning with equipment being moved, porta potties pumped, power tools and hammering, etc. It was impossible to sleep in or have the privacy we sought. The property description didn’t disclose any of this. We chose this cabin specifically because of the “serene on the stream” theme and quiet, privacy that was implied. With a few more blinds and minus the heavy construction, this would have been a perfect cabin. We made the best of it but were very disappointed by all the construction activity and lack of privacy. We reached out to the property manager who replied several hours later that they were sorry but offered no solution. Really disappointing responsiveness and customer service level from property manager. The heavy construction should have been disclosed and a discounted rate offered.
I still haven’t heard from the property manager after sending a last message more than 14 hours ago. This is inexcusable for a premium level cabin of this nature. Very disappointed.
