Spend a timeless moment in the former stableman's house, near Baugé. In the heart of the Angers-Saumur-La Flèche triangle, this holiday home is ideal for a small family or two couples.
Set on a 12-hectare property, the stableman's house and the neo-Gothic château date back to 1895. Baugé, 4.6 km away, offers shops and services. You'll be 35 minutes from Angers and Saumur, and 20 minutes from the Loire River and La Flèche Zoo.
[THE COTTAGE] Completely renovated, the cottage is bright, comfortable, and peaceful. Enjoy the 67 m² spread over two levels. On the ground floor: a 33 m² living area with a fully fitted and equipped kitchen opening onto the dining and lounge areas (wood-burning stove - wood provided). The large glass roof offers views of the surrounding woods. Upstairs: one bedroom with a 160 x 200 cm double bed, one bedroom with two 90 x 190 cm single beds and an extra bed, a toilet, and a shower room.
Outside: the very spacious covered terrace allows you to enjoy the fresh air even in rain or intense heat. A north-facing terrace with garden furniture and an electric griddle. The lawn is currently being finished. The cottage is surrounded by a private wood with walking paths starting right from the property. The setting is peaceful: you can enjoy the birdsong in complete privacy.
[TO SEE - TO DO] The historic village of Viel Baugé, with its church and twisted spire. 12 minutes away: Parc Aventure 49: paintball, treetop adventure course, outdoor escape game. La Flèche Zoo 20 minutes away, golf course and horseback riding 10 minutes away, Malagué pond 15 minutes away with a beach, supervised swimming, open-air cafes, and concerts during the season. Vineyards of Bourgueil, Chinon, Saumur, and Layon. Ségolène and Adriaan, who live at the château, will be happy to provide information about local activities and the history of the property, which has been in their family for eight generations.
End-of-stay cleaning not included: €50. No internet connection, but good 4G coverage. No television; a TV screen in the living room allows you to connect a computer or smartphone. An extra bed in the second bedroom is available for €25 per stay. Beds are made up and towels are provided. Pets are welcome for an additional €8 per pet per night. Parking is available on the property.
