Oceanview villa with private pool, 5 mins to beach

This villa is toward the east end of Anguilla on the south shore, facing St. Martin--which makes for a great view over the ocean. The villa was clean on arrival and features comfortable beds (one large king in one room, two singles in the other). The kitchen has been recently redone and is bright and airy, part of the big space that includes the living room. There is modern, reasonably quiet AC in both bedrooms and ceiling fans in every room, so it stays reasonably cool. The property is gated, although Anguilla is very safe. The best feature is the deck and pool -- and the great view. The pool is salt water and a uniform depth of about 4 feet (or a little more). It's not technically heated but certainly was a very nice temperature while we were there. There is a washing machine and lots of clothesline space for drying (which is fast in this climate). There's also a BBQ. Plenty of towels, both bath kind and beach kind. And there is a wonderful woman named Joyce who is always available by text and lives about 5 minutes away. The owners are also very responsive and helpful so that communication is always rapid. We would go back in a heartbeat--truly a great place for exploring the island but even great if you just wanted to stay there most of the time. Anguilla is lovely and has the feel of the Caribbean 50 years ago. Staying in the east end is peaceful and quiet but the west end, where the action is, is only a half hour away. A rental car is essential.

What a beautiful house with a view that can’t be beat! The pool was lovely! The air conditioning in the bedrooms was great, the beds were very comfortable, and we could tell the owners have been updating things in the house. The bathrooms are going to be updated in the near future we were told. The house is perfect for two couples or a small family. The house manager, Joyce, was a pleasure! All in all a great stay, we would return!
