4 acre lakefront property in the heart of the white mountains on Rainbow Lake. Fish, swim, kayak, or just relax at a cool 7000 foot elevation in the heart of Lakeside-Pinetop AZ. Enjoy a beautiful vintage cabin with incredible hand made sandstone fireplace, a huge redwood deck with wrap around seating, and four fenced acres to let the kids and dogs run free. The white mountains are Arizona's premier year round outdoor playground. There is snow skiing at Sunrise Resort, Arizona's largest ski resort. There are alpine lakes and streams for fishing, boating and camping. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails to explore. There is abundant wildlife including elk, deer, antelope and the rare gray wolf.
In the Lakeside- Pinetop and nearby Show Low there are many excellent restaurants antique shops, and venues to explore.

This was our third time staying at Ruby’s Cabin, and it was amazing as always! Our kids love feeding the ducks, geese, and other wildlife. It’s the perfect serene setting.

This was our 3rd visit to this property. Everything is just as advertised! It is very beautiful and peaceful. Our kids (dogs) absolutely love it!

This is a truly wonderful place to stay. We were lucky enough to get the last couple cold days of the season I think. Lots of lovely birds, including a juvenile bald eagle, and plenty of peace and quiet. The fencing on the property is sufficient even for our curious chihuahua mix, but even so we kept a pretty good eye on her due to possible skunks and of course the large raptors. Everything was clean and comfortable. Central heat was nice on the day we didn't feel like messing with the fireplace. Pics are super accurate, as a matter of fact I think the cabin probably looks even large inside in person. (You get so used to those awful fisheye pics on other listings.) Shari was lovely to deal with and Jim was available there on the property for emergencies but still allows absolute privacy for the guests. Quiet and private, but if you feel like going out for a meal or a drink, there is a cute place less than a 10 minute walk. All in all, just perfect. We'll be back in a warmer season in the future when we can use the boats.
