The Goldfinch at The Nest at Deodate is part of a small, three-unit apartment building set in a quiet, country setting. Each apartment has its own private entrance, offering a sense of privacy during your stay.
The surrounding area is peaceful and relaxed, yet major routes are just minutes away, making it easy to reach nearby attractions. Within a short drive, you’ll find Hersheypark, events at Hershey Stadium and The Giant Center, performances at The Hershey Theatre, shopping at The Hershey Outlets, the Spa at the Hotel Hershey, and Elizabethtown College.
A digital guidebook with local dining, shopping, and attraction recommendations will be provided after booking to help you plan your stay.
Getting Around:
The apartment boasts a convenient location, with easy access to local major highways just a brief 5-minute drive away.
Traveling by air? The Harrisburg International Airport is a mere 15-minute drive, while the Elizabethtown Amtrak station is just 10 minutes away by car.
For added convenience, Uber services are readily available in the area, ensuring seamless transportation options.
Plus, the charming town of Hershey is a quick 10-15 minute drive, while the vibrant cities of Harrisburg and Lancaster are within easy reach, approximately 20-25 minutes away.
Other Things to Note:
⚠️ Please Note: The stairs in the apartment are original to the building and are steep with narrow treads. While we’ve recently added new plush carpet for comfort and safety, guests should be aware that the staircase may feel more challenging to navigate, especially for those with mobility concerns or when carrying luggage.

We welcome up to 2 well-behaved pets at our home. Please note:
* $100 fee per pet – this must be paid prior to check-in. Be sure to add pets to your reservation for host approval.
* Guests may be asked to show proof of current vaccinations.
* No pets on furniture, bedding, or blankets.
* Guests must clean up after pets immediately and dispose of waste properly.
* Pets must be leashed at all times when outdoors.
* Excessive noise, damage, or nuisance behavior caused by pets may result in additional charges or removal from the property.

Amanda the owner has phenomenal communication skills. I had some internet issues when making the reservations. She was patient and kind in walking me three each step. This unit was the perfect size for my husband, myself and our BoBo, a 13 yr old canine. The rental was sparkling clean, bright, & cheerful with no clutter. The unit was private & quiet with its own parking spot, easy combination entry. The king size bed comfy, black out curtains perfect for sleeping in. In the Kitchen was a bonus coffee/tea station, ‘smote kits.

Our hosts went over and above in welcoming us to their place. It was beautifully decorated and attention to every detail has not been matched in our 4 weeks of traveling. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The place was immaculate inside and out. It was like going to visit family who wanted to make everything perfect. We will go back!

The place was perfect. Spotless and fully stocked with everything you could need. It was private, quiet and close to everything. Communication from the host was excellent. My girlfriend loved the way it was decorated and we would definitely stay again if we are going to be in the area. No complaints. Well done.
