Watch the blue-green waves gently roll onto the sugar-white sand beach from your perch at five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath Laguna Matata in Panama City Beach, FL. You can also take a dip in the private pool, which can be heated for an additional fee.
Situated along Front Beach Road in the upscale Laguna Beach neighborhood and with a full view of the Gulf of Mexico, the Laguna Matata vacation rental is a beautifully decorated, 3,120-square-foot private home for up to 12 people.
You will delight in the beach view from the comfortable living room, which is located on the home’s first floor along with the amply sized dining room, spacious modern kitchen and bunk room ideal for the little ones. Windows along the front of the house welcome in that gorgeous Florida sunshine.
The fresh, modern kitchen is outfitted with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and everything you need to prepare meals for the entire crew. Your living room comes with plenty of seating and a Smart TV for your viewing pleasure. A full bath is connected to the bunk room, and the additional half-bath is conveniently near the kitchen.
Upstairs you will find four updated bedrooms with ensuite baths, including two primary bedrooms with views of the beach and private access via sliding glass doors to the balcony overlooking the Gulf. The balcony features a hot tub, table and chairs. Listen to the shore birds sing overhead and the soft breezes rustle through the palm trees as you wash away your worries in the private hot tub on the balcony with water views.
Additional amenities to note include a gas grill perfect for preparing your catch from a deep-sea fishing excursion or some steaks purchased at the nearby grocery store. Two outdoor showers are also available to wash off any sand from the beach. The backyard oasis at Laguna Matata is fully fenced with synthetic grass and plenty of space to enjoy your favorite yard games.
The community of Laguna Beach is only minutes outside the city center, making for easy access to popular attractions like Pier Park, Panama City Beach’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment district.

Our stay at Lagunq Matata was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by stunning ocean views that never got old—whether it was morning coffee on the patio or watching the sunset in the evening, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.One of our favorite features was the warm pool and hot tub. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring, and it made the whole experience feel even more luxurious and peaceful. Inside, the home was incredibly spacious yet still felt cozy and inviting. The bedrooms were comfortable and thoughtfully designed, making it easy for everyone to unwind and feel at home. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out, but also great shared spaces where we could come together.What made this stay truly special was the time we were able to spend together. This home created the perfect environment for us to slow down, relax, and make meaningful memories as a family—ones we’ll cherish for a long time.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and memorable getaway.

We had a great overall stay at this property. The house itself was amazing—clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable trip, and we were really impressed with the space and setup.Unfortunately, our experience with the property management fell short. The hot tub stopped working on the first night of our stay. When we contacted management, they told us they would open a work order and send someone out, and advised us to continue with our plans while they used a temporary access code to make repairs while we were out.However, when we returned the following day after being at the beach all day, it was clear the hot tub had not been serviced. After reaching out again, we were then informed it would be 7–10 business days before anyone could come out to fix it.We completely understand that issues can arise that are outside of anyone’s control. With that in mind, we simply asked if they could turn on the pool heater at no additional charge since the pool was too cold to use this time of year and the hot tub—an amenity we were really looking forward to—was unavailable. Unfortunately, that request was denied unless we paid the full surcharge of 100 per night. The response felt dismissive and lacked any real effort to make the situation right.Because of the poor handling of this issue by property management, we are rating the property 4 stars instead of 5.

The pool heater did not work, I would not have paid the extra amount for a house with a pool if we weren't going to be able to use it. I was only reimbursed the amount for the pool heating, but I could've found a cheaper, comparable house without a pool.
