"Welcome to Pharma-Sea West (Formerly Known as "Last Splash II"), a vacationer's paradise! This stunning home features 7 bedrooms, 6 1/2 baths, and a serene private swimming pool nestled amidst the dunes. Situated in the exclusive gated community of Holden Beach West, 'Last Splash II' promises to be your ultimate vacation spot. Plus, we're excited to announce that it's now PET FRIENDLY for an all-inclusive family getaway.
Let the vacation begin! The minute you step inside this magnificent coastal getaway, you will immediately feel the day-to-day stress begin to fade away! This property was renovated in the spring of 2022 with new floors, kitchen counters, appliances, paint, and more. The kitchen boast new stainless steal appliances, counter tops and state of the art wine cooler and new decor resides in each room giving you a truly coastal vibe. You will find that the secondary living area upstairs has been tastefully converted into a 7th bedroom. There is certainly enough space for everyone to spread out and relax! On the first level, you will love the spacious open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen areas, complete with magnificent views of the glistening Atlantic Ocean! The modern kitchen is well equipped, and complete with 2 new stainless steal refrigerators, over the range microwave, flat top stove & wine cooler. You will love the updated cabinets, countertops and lighting throughout. You will appreciate the convenience of the wet bar just off the kitchen. The large dining table has enough space for everyone to come together for family-style meals or playing games, all while making sweet memories! Also located on the first level, Bedroom #1 is complete with 2 Queen beds, TV, StreetSide view and private bath with tub/shower combo. Bedroom #2 is complete with 2 Queen beds, TV, StreetSide view and private bath with tub/shower combo. Bedroom #7 located on the 2nd floor has amazing views of the marsh and is complete with a Twin/Full bunkbed as well as a Twin/Twin bunkbed, sleeping 5. You will also find a small seating area located in this room.
The 2nd level features Bedroom #3 complete with a Queen bed, TV, StreetSide view and private bath with a walk-in shower. Bedroom #4 is complete with 2 Queen beds, TV, ceiling fan, balcony access with oceanside view and private bath with a tub/shower combo. Bedroom #5 is complete with a King bed, TV, oceanside view and shared bath with a walk-in shower. Bedroom #6 complete with 2 King beds, TV, balcony access with oceanside view and private bath with a walk-in shower and separate jetted tub.
Enjoy a good book and a cool beverage while rocking your days away on the covered oceanfront deck, allowing the sounds of the ocean to soothe your soul. I always enjoy staying on the West end and this was the first time I was able to bring my dog. It was a lovely home and we had direct access to the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived, the area under the house was cluttered with wood and debris. The deck furniture was stained, broken, and uninviting. The deck and handrails hadn’t been treated in years, so we couldn’t walk barefoot, and we spent time pounding nails to avoid injuries. Inside wasn’t better. The house wasn’t cleaned properly—sand in sheets, mold around shower doors, and dirt under furniture and blinds. One refrigerator smelled like rotten fish and was unusable, stinking up the entire lower level. Many kitchen appliances barely worked, so we used our own. The first thing we had to do was clean the house. The worst problem was the roaches/palmetto bugs. On arrival, one was on the wall, but at night it turned into a nightmare—dozens swarming, making it impossible to sit outside. We immediately contacted our host and they sent an exterminator. The exterminator admitted the house hadn’t been sprayed in months, which explained the infestation. We later learned the house was for sale and not being maintained, which made sense but didn’t help. Considering the premium we paid, this was the worst rental we’ve ever stayed in. To top it off, the promised gas grill was missing, so we had to buy charcoal and lighter fluid. On the positive side, VRBO and the real estate company were easy to deal with. Hopefully, new ownership will restore the property to its potential.
