Being one of the oldest homes in Monroe, The Cottage offers a unique character like no other. This home is completely restored and renovated & located in the beautiful historic district. This home is unique with so many features that you will LOVE! Enjoy the wonderful outdoor spaces, in-ground pool, and outdoor fire pit while you're on property. We had a lovely stay! The house is in a perfect location to enjoy downtown Monroe - just a short 10 minute walk. And that is with a 7 & 9 year old :)With it being so hot, we did end up driving for must of our trips out. Parking was very easy for us (weekdays). There are so many food options to choose from, too! One of our favorites was Felicia's kitchen (just a short drive). We also tried Thai Won On, Le Gabrielle, & Scoops downtown - they were all very good.We loved the pool area. You get a wonderful view of a few big trees and open sky. The furniture around the pool was very comfortable.The high ceilings in the house make it feel very spacious. It felt bigger then I expected from the photos.The house was also stocked with everything we needed. The kids loved the little glass ice cream cups and small goblets in the cupboards.We were visiting from Lawrenceville for a small staycation - our main draw being the private pool - and it was just what we were hoping for.

This house was perfect! Our family enjoyed mornings on the big front porch and the day hanging by the pool. Access to downtown was a short walk! We all said 10/10!

The pool unfortunately the pollen was overwhelming. Even though the owners did everything possible to keep it clean..nature was just too overwhelming! Minutes after cleaning a heavy load of pollen would reaapear? too much for even the cleaning tool! For context...even my car changes colors due to the "pollen snow"! But we appreciate everything they did to enable us to use it.
