Come escape to Fern Woods Cabin, our brand new build with modern details and all you need for a luxurious getaway in the woods! Our location is a short 10-20 minute drive from main attractions -Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, and Old Man's Cave, this cabin is a perfect place for a family to explore Hocking Hills. Nestled on 5 acres with 1 other cabin you'll be able to enjoy trails on the property as well. This cabin was designed with modern touches and a wall of windows to bring nature to you!
The Space:
Our wall of windows is the hero of this cabin and the thing we hope makes you say "Wow!" when you walk in. Treat yourself to luxury in cabin form with soaring ceilings, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, gas fireplace, outdoor firepit, great outdoor decks, hot tub, and nature trails. The cabin is designed with an open floor plan for enjoying time together whether it's inside around the fireplace enjoying the view of nature or outside on the large decks on upper and lower level feeling the breeze brush past. You'll love the spacious master suite on the upper level complete with ensuite bathroom with tile shower and direct access to the deck from the room. Downstairs there are two queen bedrooms with sliding door walkout to the lower-level deck. Full bath shared downstairs with double vanity. A common area downstairs is perfect for games or a movie! The hot tub is located on the lower deck for a soak after your day of hiking. We also have nature trails throughout the 5-acre property that you are welcome to walk throughout your stay. Please be mindful of guests that may be staying at the one-bedroom cabin nearby, you do have neighbors.

Vinton County requires a 6% lodging tax be paid for your stay.

This is our second time renting Fern Woods to ring in the New Year as a bigger family being all together. The house layout, magical log cabin in the woods during winter vibe is something out of a Hallmark movie. The owners are very responsive and wonderful to rent from. We cannot wait to come back to this rental that has everything you need during your stay!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay in the cabin, but there were a few issues. The floors were very dirty. When walking around barefoot indoors, our feet quickly got very dirty. Also, our toddler was sitting on the bench at the dining table. It is very wobbly, and it fell on her foot, breaking the skin. I also noticed it was wobbly when I sat on it. It is very top heavy, so be careful if you sit in it. The lighter was completely out so we had to run out for one. Several mugs are chipped & the dining chair upholstery is pretty dirty.
Additionally, the fireplace is stated to be turned on in September, but it was inoperable.
