About this house rental
Beautiful holiday house in Žgaljići, island Krk for up to 4 persons. This house has one double ensuite bedrooms, one bathroom, one toilet for the guests, kitchen with dining and living area and outdoor area with swimming pool. An ideal choice for families with children. Parking spot provided. Air conditioning, WiFi, fully equipped and nicely decorated. Barbecue and sun loungers are provided for a fun careless day by the pool. Visit this beautiful home and have a marvelous vacation on our island! Pets are allowed upon request, pet fee is 15€ per day.The pool is open 01.05.-15.10.
LinardiciLinardici is a place situated in the western part of the island, in the interior, only 2 km above the bays of Vela and Mala Jana.
The village was established in the 15th century when Prince Frankopan settled that part of the island. Today in Linardici live about 138 inhabitants who are mostly engaged in agriculture, olive growing, and more recently tourism.Tourism in LinardiciAs the tourism is a branch of recent origin, Linardici doesn't have hotels or camps on it's disposal, but has available private accommodation, apartments and rooms in private houses and villas with swimming pool, which are on disposal in summer and winter months.
Apartments mostly have a beautiful view and the channel between the island of Krk and Cres. The beaches are mostly pebbled and rocky surrounded by greenery.In Linardici and surrounding places are also restaurants with excellent local food.
Near Linardici is a place Glavotok where you can visit the Franciscan Monastery and the protected forest reserve but also church of St. Krsevan near Milohnici.
The ferry port Valbiska, which connects the island of Krk with islands of Cres and Rab is 3 km away from Linardici so, for those who spend vacation here, day trips to neighbouring islands are unavoidable.
For all those who are looking the vacation in a quiet environment, Linardici is the ideal destination, especially for families with children.

Various coves invite you to swim. Among other things, there is a beautiful lake cave. Vela Jana is deeply carved bays with a small harbor and promenade. The bay south of it is called Mala Jana. The road from the villages of Linardići and Brzac is somewhat narrow and steep therefore not suitable for trailers.

Keep in mind that you are booking through a travel agency here on Airbnb, not directly with the host.
The apartment was very clean and as shown in the pictures, no doubt about that. The experience was less likely to recommend for people seeking a piece of mind and privacy. Others might find it okay.
The host kept asking us to provide an additional deposit in cash which we explained is not how it works on Airbnb (the host didn't have a clue about how Airbnb works, nor that we have booked the place here). Once we settled that, the host kept messaging on a daily basis and in the end insisted on meeting us during the checkout to inspect the place.
The swimming pool looks like it's on the neighborhood property rather than on the one we rented from one side and from the other it's straight next to the street. There's not much privacy since elderly people live next door, so we haven't even taken a bath. Neighbors (or family members of the host?) kept asking us why we were not taking a bath, where we were going when leaving the place, that we surely don't mind they walking left and right through the garden, etc. One day we finally again decided to have a coffee in the garden while the neighbors came on the land to plant kale next to us, which is an amazing and noble activity for them, but not while the place is rented and guests seek some privacy.
In the end, while staying at this house we were more avoiding it than spending time in the garden, on the pool or within the house itself. Which is a shame since it's not something we were promised or charged for.
As a disclaimer, this is often the case on the Croatian coast and being from Croatia myself - it hurts to see that people don't understand what renting the property really means and that for some people quietness and privacy is truly appreciated while on vacation. We simply haven't got that here and we were spending more time managing the booking than enjoying what the property has to offer.
