About this apartment rental
This home has a gas barbeque on the front deck for summer barbequing and fireplace for cold winter evenings. There is a Keurig coffee make in the kitchen. There is also a washer / dryer on the lower floor. Bunk beds for kids to enjoy, 2 TVs and a DVD player. There is no cell phone service in the area in general.
There is no trash collection service in the mountains and guests will need to take their trash with them. There is a local dump on Hwy 108 where trash can be turned in for a small fee.
As the condo is at an elevation of 6300 ft, it gets a good amount of snow in winter. During snow storms power outages do occur and guests may experience it during their stay. There are flashlights, candles and some spare batteries for use and also wood for the fireplace. The fireplace in the middle level does a good job of warming the top 2 levels, more than it does the lower level.
Guests may also need to shovel snow to get in and out as snow storms can happen anytime and can be continuous at times dumping a lot of snow.
Snow is plowed in the front and rear access roads but it can take time for the crew to get to it. In general, the rear access tends to get more icy than the front, especially overnight, but, the situation can be dynamic and guests should assess for themselves to make a prudent choice. Driving or walking on icy roads can be tricky. It is a good idea to carry ice traction slip on for your shoes.
After heavy snow fall, the front access metal stairs can get fully covered with snow.
There are snow shovels in the front and back of the house.
