About this apartment rental
Family orientated apartment. Lovely modern corner building, very light and walking distance to city center Haarlem. Total 175 square meters (1900 square feet):
3 large bedrooms, loft living room, well equipped kitchen.
1st floor: 90 square meters (950 square feet). Enter through a shared staircase, 3 bedrooms. Sleeps 6.
Master bedroom with King size bed (1.80cm by 2.00cm).
Second bedroom with Queen size bed (1.60 by 2.00cm).
Third bedroom with Queen size bed (1.60 by 2.00cm).
Bathroom with two sinks, toilet, separate bath and separate shower.
2nd floor: 90 square meters (950 square feet). Staircase to great modern sitting room with wooden beams. Sitting corner with flat screen TV, CD Player/ Sound system/ DVD player/ Netflix. Dining table for 8 people. Open kitchen with ATAG fridge, separate oven and separate combi microwave, dishwasher, water kettle, barista coffee machine.
Reading corner with original 70's Eames Lounge chair. Logia (internal balcony). Separate 2nd toilet. Storage room with washing machine and dryer.
Due to corner location early morning sun till end of afternoon.
Apartment is located at a car free square right in front. Easy going for exercise, children playing field and picnic. No cars allowed after 11am, however, opposite apartment garage with private parking space. 4 minute walk to shopping street, supermarket, flower shop, ice cream parlour and small shopping street.
7 minutes walking to Haarlem central station.
20 minutes public transport from apartment to Amsterdam Central station. Trains depart every 10 minutes, 7 days a week .
15 minute drive to Bloemendaal beach, 35 minutes by bike.
Note: A hotel sofa bed (a very good one) could be arranged to facilitate two more guests or when friends would visit. It could be placed in the third bedroom.

Our small group had the best time staying here. The apartment was lovely and the location was excellent. It was easy to get to everything we wanted to do, the big square and little playgrounds were fun for our six year old, and it was quiet at night.
The personal touch and care that Martyn and his family have for their guests is second to none. Easy communication and his recommendations were all excellent.

What an amazing property this was! My family stayed here with three generations ranging in age of 1 year to 66 years and we all loved it. The home is wonderful. So bright, clean, open and inviting. The bedrooms were all spacious and the living area upstairs is perfect for everyone to spend time together. Martyn was amazing throughout the entire process of booking through checking out. He is an amazing host.
The location is fantastic. Quiet, parks nearby and lots of shopping within a 5 minute walk. We had the trip of a lifetime and this home was a huge reason why.
If the specs of the home meet your needs, I strongly encourage you to book. You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed in Martyn's home over the summer and we were not disappointed, the property is located in a very quiet area of Haarlem but very close to the centre. A 10-15 minute walk into the centre through charming streets really does set you up for the a very special city with many beautiful sights,buildings and museums. We were met at the train station in Amsterdam by a private taxi that Martyn had booked on our behalf, after a short trip we arrived to meet his lovely mother, Caty who showed us around this wonderful property. A very spacious home that was more than big enough for three adults and two children with all the modern equipment needed for a lovely family holiday.
The train station in Haarlem is a 10-15 min walk away, so catching the train to Amsterdam is super easy. There are many local stores around but if you choose to use a supermarket we found Albert Heijn close by and good value.
We had great communication with Martyn before and during our stay, unfortunately I had an accident on our way from the UK and needed to see a doctor, it was great to have several conversations with him concerning the hospitals close by.
This property is fantastic and in a superb location, so close to Amsterdam but far away enough to relax from the the hustle and bustle of a major city.
We enjoyed Haarlem so much we wouldn't hesitate to go back and we, would make Martyn's home our number one place to stay if we did.

Good location to visit holland. 10 minute walk to train station and from there easy to get to Amsterdam. Very convenient parking lot. We missed a hand towel but the stay was great. Owners left wine bottles, salt and other useful ingredients which were for us to consume. Caty and Martin where very charming and helpful. Martin also sent us great tips to make our stay better, like where to go or what to visit.
