North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms are outfitted with crisp linens and comfortable beds, providing restful nights for up to six guests. Each room features premium touches and ample storage, while room-darkening shades ensure privacy and a peaceful sleep. Two full bathrooms are stocked with essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and plush towels.

Kitchen & dining
The open-concept living area flows into a chef’s kitchen, fully equipped with a Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all the cooking basics you need. Enjoy meals at the dining table or use the dedicated workspace for remote work or planning your day’s adventures. Coffee and wine glasses are provided for your convenience.

Outdoor living
Step outside to a lush, fully fenced backyard and private patio—ideal for morning coffee, evening relaxation, or letting your pet enjoy the outdoors. The single-level layout and private entrance make coming and going easy, and free street parking is available.

The home is ideally situated for seasonal events like NOLA ChristmasFest, New Year’s Eve fireworks, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, Twelfth Night, Krewe du Vieux, and Mardi Gras Day.

The property was beautiful and just as the pictures showed. It was super close to Trader Joe’s and made for a very easy grocery run (literally). I would stay here again without question. The only things I can find anything negative to say about (which are minor in my opinion) would be the pillows were very flat (I had to grab a couch pillow to sleep on), no dedicated/reserved parking (first come first serve street parking), and the water dispenser in the fridge didn’t work (but the ice dispenser did).

The house is very cute, clean and modern. Very easy access to Bourbon street via streetcar. Highly recommend this property and would stay again now that I know how to navigate the below. My only complaint was with booking agency, Book Nola. I received an email telling me I needed to complete a verification screening. I’ve never been asked that before, so I called 3 separate times over a 3 week period leaving my contact information. I never received a call back. I tried once more a few days prior to leaving. It’s a 4 step process. I had to call to initiate each step bc it was not automated. After I was told it was completed, I remembered in one of my conversations I needed to take a picture with my credit card. I sent another message asking about that and they apologized for the oversight. I asked what would have happened had I not completed all the steps, they informed me I would not have been able to check in. I paid for early check in and was told I would get the code an hour prior. I did not receive the early check in code by noon. I called multiple times without any answer and when they got back to me they said they sent it through the message app not via text/email. When I looked I noticed it was sent as we were speaking on the phone which was right at 1pm.I hope my experience was unusual.
