About this house rental
A beautiful home in a quiet little neighborhood 15 miles away from the bridge and Mackinac Island ferries. This house is a perfect spot for families, friends, or just a couple that wants a quiet place to rest their head. Located just off M-123 close to recreational trails, Mackinac Island ferries, Brevort Lake boat launch, and sand dunes for swimming. Compete with all the comforts of home. Just a quick word about our cleaning practices. We have implimented the same cleaning practices at this home as our other short term rental property. After every guests stay we are disinfecting all heavy traffic surfaces (door knobs, faucets, remotes, cabinet handles, fridge handles, etc). Also all linen, weither used or not, is washed, sanitized, and changed. We are doing all we can to ensure your stay is a safe stay. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask. We also leaving hand sanitizer and a bleach cleaning spray for guest use.
The ORV trail is literally steps from the home. So this is a great location for those wishing to snowmobile, ATV, or fat tire bike down the miles of trails that the Eastern Upper Peninsula has to offer. Please let me know if you are bringing a trailer, especially in the winter, so I can plow a spot for it. If your trailer is really big (more that 2 sleds) the gas station in Moran (about 1/4 mil away) allows you to leave you trailer there. They do that figuring you will be purchasing you gas and necessities from them.
We have Starlink internet in the home. You should expect speeds of 200-300mb/sec while connected to the WiFi.
Also in full disclosure we do have a 3 security cameras that records outside the home.
1 records the driveway, 1 records the back yard, and 1 records the back doors. We feel this is a needed security since we do not live on site.

Wonderful stay with gracious hosts who were excellent with communication. The house was clean and perfect for our toddler. Not only were there toys for him to play with, but the added bonus of cups, plates, and silverware for him and his cousin made the trip that much easier for family dinners. There were plenty of chairs inside and out for campfires and family dinners and it made it a great gathering spot for other family members who stayed in St. Ignace to come and enjoy an evening. Perfect for a families.

Hosts were responsive and communicated everything we needed to know about our rental. The place was great to stay at for our family and our adventures on Mackinac Island.

This was a nice place to stay while we were vacationing in upper Michigan, mostly because it provided a lot of space for the family and it's in a remote location. The kitchen was outfitted really well.
With that said, the house was a little warm in the afternoon (only two, room air conditioners). The house, overall, needs a little attention:
The kitchen cabinets didn't stay closed, which was a little annoying.
One of the doors to the deck didn't open unless forced.
One of the structures in the backyard looks like it is about to fall down.
The ceiling fan at the top of the stairs doesn't work and one of the other ceiling fans starts to rock when on a high setting.
My wife and I slept in the bedroom with a room air conditioner and it was difficult to sleep with it loudly cycling on and off all night long (I ended up using ear plugs).
It's all stuff we could live with, but temper your expectations. My wife and I felt very safe to go jogging on the country roads every day. It's a really nice area.
