Oh, it's better than sunshine…
As a native Floridian AND a Leo, Pinkie Flamingo seriously wondered what could possibly be better than sunshine but she was willing to be open-minded. Pinkie was out and about on yet another glorious Summer morning in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. As she pulled into Highland Parks off 30A, she thought how primo this location was! Popular for its resort-style swimming pool and easy access to Destin and the 30A scene, Highland Parks is just minutes to the world-famous sparking waters of the Emerald Coast at Blue Mountain Beach. White sands are waiting and warm breezes beckon. Be among the first guests to enjoy this new vacation rental that can sleep up to 13 of your closest friends and family plus max of 2 well-behaved, housebroken dogs.
Today Pinkie happened to be making the rounds with her favorite furry sidekick…an all-white Husky named Pinot Grigio. “She was whining when she was born and unusually solid white in color so I named her after a white wine.” Pinot was quite the showstopper with gorgeous pale blue eyes and a truly blonde personality. Together they visited new properties…pet-friendly ones of course!
With enough soul-lifting natural light to make anyone feel energized, this open concept 2-story home is the perfect backdrop on which to paint your families' best vacation memories. Pinkie appreciated the grand living space combining entertainment, dining and kitchen all rolled into one shared experience. There were many spots to gather while not feeling crowded. High ceilings do have a way of making you feel there is twice as much room as there really is! With a powder room and master suite downstairs, guests traveling with someone who does not do steps will be all set.
The rest of the gang can head upstairs to find an open loft with Queen sleeper sofa, laundry room, King Master Suite, Queen guest bedroom and bunk room with twin over full bunk bed set. With both a balcony and a porch, outdoor gathering spots may well be your favorites. It's just a few steps to the Highland Parks swimming pool and recreation area with lounge chairs and sun deck. Meet new friends while splashing in the beautiful refreshing swimming pool, accented by magnificent, stately palms. Covered dining area with grill is available for guest use and an al fresco meal is the perfect way to dine here in Florida.
Blue Mountain Beach area attractions are all within reach…many even within walking distance. Named after the plentiful Blue Lupine flower that blankets the dunes here, this community is also the point of highest elevation in the county at a whopping 65 ft! Discover local eateries like Johnny McTighe's Irish Pub or Redd's Fueling Station... there's a dining experience for everyone in the group to be sure. Not often found in nature, a coastal lake affords untold opportunities for recreation along with bird-watching and wildlife-viewing. Paddleboard or canoe through nearby Big Redfish Lake and enjoy the quiet beauty of this peaceful setting. Hike or bike along the 19 miles of The Timpoochee Trail and top of your day with a double scoop of delicious ice cream at The Blue Mountain Creamery.

Beautiful home inside, outside needs attention. Consider adding golf cart or bikes to rental. Overall vacation great!

The house overall was very nice and in a good location. The outside of the home needs some TLC and by that Im talking about cleaning. Doesn’t look like any cleaning/pressure washing on the outside has taken place in a long time. Several burners on the stove did not work and there was a bowl under the sink to catch water from a leak.
