Welcome to Calm Shores, a beautifully designed three-story cottage just steps from Port Elgin’s stunning Main Beach. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat, a fun-filled getaway, or quality time with loved ones, this brand-new home offers the perfect setting. With breathtaking lake views, a private backyard with a fire pit, and a game room for endless entertainment, this charming space invites you to relax, recharge, and create unforgettable memories. Thoughtfully decorated across 2,000 square feet, Calm Shores combines cozy elegance with modern amenities, making it ideal for families, friends, and couples alike.
Step inside to a bright, welcoming main floor featuring a cozy family room with an HD Smart TV and Netflix, a fully equipped kitchen, and a convenient half-bathroom. A laundry room with a washer and dryer ensures you can pack light and stay comfortable. Outside, the fully fenced private backyard is perfect for summer evenings—fire up the gas BBQ, enjoy a meal on the outdoor patio, or gather around the fire pit for marshmallow roasting and storytelling under the stars.
On the second floor, a spacious game room and lounge area await, complete with an air hockey table, books, and board games for hours of entertainment. Step out onto the upper deck and enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks, conveniently stored in the mini bar fridge. This floor also features one comfortable bedroom, a full bathroom, and an additional half bath.
The third floor is designed for relaxation, offering three beautifully furnished bedrooms with plush, dream-worthy beds and spacious closets. You'll also find two full bathrooms and two private balconies, perfect for stargazing or sipping coffee as the sun rises over the lake. With plenty of space for everyone, this home is designed for comfort, fun, and making the most of your time by the water.
Guests will have full access to the home, except for one locked basement storage room. The cottage is family-friendly, but please note that stairs and balconies are not childproofed. We provide bed linens, kitchen towels, hand towels, bathmats, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and tissue boxes. However, please remember to bring your own bath and beach towels, along with any personal toiletries.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable stay, we kindly ask that guests remove shoes indoors, respect quiet hours between 11 PM and 7 AM, and adhere to our no pets, no smoking, and no fireworks policy. The fire pit must be used responsibly and supervised at all times. To comply with local regulations, all guests must be registered, and extra guests will incur an additional charge. We have a Ring doorbell camera at the entrance, which is used only to welcome guests and is not actively recording during your stay.

Overall, our stay was good. Great location within walking distance to the beach, marina, trails, playgrounds and splash pad. Backyard is small and could use some sun coverage. Inside is fine, if you don’t mind stairs. Lots of bathrooms, which is great for 10 people, however the eating/living area is small for 10 people.

The property is in a brilliant location, close to the beach with lots of opportunity for walking and checking out the town. The rooms are good sized. Everything is well stocked. And Parm is a very responsive host!

Nice big property with a lot of space. 5 min walk to the beach. Restaurants, grocery stores, etc 5-10 min driving distance. Communication with the owner was great. He was very responsive to issues that we had.Unfortunately when we arrived, the air conditioning wasn’t working; finding out later on that it was broken. Like stated above the owner did respond and go above and beyond to make the best he could for that situation. Inside needs a lot of attention to detail. It was noted that there is a cleaning service but it was hard to believe that somebody even came. Things like vacuuming, cleaning of windows ( inside & out) were clearly not done. The beds were not made properly and most of the beds did not have the proper sheets.For the price paid those things should be done and should be verified that it is done properly. If things change me and my family would love to come back.
