About this cottage rental
Take a deep breath and relax in this home located on the Muddy Fork Little River. There are two and ½ acres of wooded, totally private, and serene but steep land (backyard only). Perfect for the outdoor enthusiast or a quick getaway. Relax on the large wood deck with an outdoor dining table, while grilling out on the Weber charcoal grill (charcoal not provided), or enjoy your morning coffee while you watch the eagles soar above and the crazy amount of deer dash through the yard.
When you enter the Relaxation Station you will find a light and airy open floor plan. The home is about 1000 sq ft with the living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom/laundry room located on the first floor. Everything is freshly painted and new flooring has been installed. All the appliances are new and the kitchen should have everything you would need to feel at home. We do have a coffee bar that is stocked with a few limited flavored K-cups or you are welcome to bring your own.
Upstairs you will find the only bedroom this home has. There is a new king-size bed, a dresser, and two nightstands for your convenience. The entire upstairs is the bedroom so you would be able to use one or both of the Queen sized air mattresses (located in the bedroom closet) for additional sleeping either in the bedroom or down in the living room. The bedroom has a ridiculous amount of windows to enjoy the view of the river or the woods across the street.
There is plenty of parking so bring your boat, water toys, or ATVs.
Free WiFi, key-less entry, smart TV, window air conditioning. Toiletries, including paper towels, are complementary. There is a washer and dryer you are welcome to use with laundry soap provided. Home has towels/linens but if you are needing beach towels you will want to bring those with you.
This home is waterfront and has dock. Depending on the time of the year, there may or may not be water in the river. From late September to May, the Big Fork Muddy River is at winter pool. This is where they close off the dam and the river lowers to sometimes nothing. During the summer pool, there is about 4 to 5 feet of water at the dock. The dock and stairs to it have been redone but getting to the shoreline can still be challenging.
There are many other things to see and do here. This location is 17 miles from the Land Between the Lakes where you can find just about anything you want to do outside.

The host is very good at communicating clearly and promptly, which is so important when you haven’t been to either the town or the property before. The house had loads of little touches which made it feel like you were staying at a friend’s place rather than some corporate property. Bonus: Lots of little options for our dog, too, all while being clean, comfortable, and homey. I could have stayed longer. Their attention to communication and various details with the house made it a lot easier to relax, which was just what we needed. Pro tip: pre-look up the wonderful keyless lock as they suggest. It took 10 seconds to understand and eliminated any potential stress. They did a phenomenal job of giving us a super easy guide, too. Then we didn’t have to go anywhere for check-in or worry about misplacing keys. Great touch and great host advice! It’s those kind of little things that made for a great stay.

This place exceeded our expectations! This was a last minute trip for us over the 4th of July weekend. The house is beautifully decorated in up to date decor. The cleanliness of this place wonderful. It had everything we needed to make us feel right at home. The king size bed was amazing, I slept peacefully every night and it is literally surrounded by lucious green tree’s, I opened all the blinds! A perfect picture of beauty. Yes there are a lot of steps to the boat dock, not a place I would recommend for someone with bad health, bad hips or bad knees, or with small kids. But my husband and I are 53 and 50, and our son and his friend are in their teens and did great! The host was easy to contact. There was plenty of restaurants and stores to visit either by car or boat. Cadiz had an amazing farmers market on Saturday. We could not of had a better experience

The house was amazing. Me and my wife our son and his friend has a blast. The house was clean, the location was privafe, and the fishing was fantastic. It had a great porch to hangout on a great dock to put a small boat or kayaks. Inside was very spaceous. The bed was so comfy. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to cook anything. Very cool place and for us not very far. I will definitely be looking to stay there again. The stairs werent that bad and if anything just got me in better shape. It was just a gorgeous property
