About this house rental
The beach is literally a minutes ‘walk away as is a bar/ crêperie. The local supermarket is also handily located 5 minutes away and can easily be reached to fetch fresh croissants for breakfast or wine to enjoy.
The coastal walks which stretch for many kilometers in all directions also offer stunning views and the surrounding areas are abundant with fine sandy beaches. Pointe du Raz, 10 minutes drive west of Plogoff is a dramatic place of crashing waves and strong winds. "The end of the world" as described by the locals, it is the westernmost point in France.
The local seaside resort, Audierne, is within easy reach and was once a thriving fishing port and a major centre for the distribution of sardines throughout the world. It is no longer anywhere as busy but still maintains a small fishing fleet and supplies many of the local restaurants with fresh produce. As well as a variety of venues offering fine cuisine the town also has an aquarium (Open between April and September) a maritime museum and a cinema. Trips to the tiny island of île de Sein take place regularly during the same period. Shops are available but the wider choice is available in Quimper, a busy cathedral town some 40 kms away.
