Fisherman’s Getaway with Sunset Views & Room for 11

This property was a great fit for our stay. Property manager is very good communicator. We will stay again when we are in the area.

3 pre-teens enjoyed floating and hanging out in the cove. Paddle boat was a PLUS! 1 year old loved hanging out on the secured fenced in patio. Great decking for no splinters for wet feet. Definitely recommend! Owners were accessible with all our needs.

Upon arrival to the house we discovered that the bed in the spare room was not what was shown in the online photos of the house. The bed frame was broken and we had to find some wood in the garage to prop up the frame and the mattress was not comfortable. The toilet paper holder in the hall bathroom was broken off the wall and laying on the floor. I sent an email to the owner making her aware of these problems and she thanked me so she could address them. However, it was not taken care of while we were there. The family room had cobwebs and bugs in them all around the room near the ceiling. I could not live with this all week so I took the vacuum to the ceiling to clean it up. I made her aware of this and once again she thanked me for making her aware and said they had changed cleaning services recently. On our last day there my husband was in the bedroom with the door shut and when he tried to open the door the lock would not work.The latch was stuck in the frame of the door.Thankfully, he always travels with a small tool kit and had it in the room so he could take the lock apart and remove it so he could get out of the room. The upper living space above the garage is a nice space, but it smelled like cigarettes. It was an overwhelming odor and therefore we could not use this space. Despite all of this, we enjoyed time with our family who lives in the area. The house could be nice if properly maintained and cleaned. I hope the owner makes the effort to do so.
