Tucked behind lush tropical trees and landscaping on a huge, private beachfront lot just north of the Placencia airstrip, Dolphin Beach Villa is a secluded sanctuary that feels worlds away from the ordinary — yet puts you just minutes from Placencia Village and everything the peninsula has to offer. Wind down the private driveway through the tropical grounds and arrive at your own exclusive oceanfront hideaway — completely invisible from the road and completely yours.
This recently remodeled 3-story custom concrete villa features 4 king bedrooms spread across three levels, each with private en-suite bathrooms and breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams create an open, airy ambiance throughout, while plush sofas, tropical artwork, and ceramic tile flooring give the interior a warm, relaxed elegance. The spacious second floor living area, eat-in kitchen, and dining room open onto a large, covered balcony overlooking the pool and ocean — the perfect setting for lazy mornings and chef-prepared dinners. A large flat-screen TV and comfortable lounge area are ideal for movie nights after a day on the water.
The outdoor spaces are a true highlight. A large oceanfront pool sits at the edge of the beach with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea framed by towering palms, while an expansive beachfront lawn gives the whole group room to breathe. Enjoy a round of frisbee golf on the huge beachfront lot before cooling off in the pool or heading straight into the ocean. Up top, the rooftop terrace is furnished with comfortable loungers offering panoramic views of the Caribbean, lush tropical greenery, and the Maya Mountains — perfect for sunrise, sunsets, and stargazing.

**CHEF SERVICE**
Your stay includes complimentary private chef service for stays of 4 nights or more — one full chef day for every two nights stayed. Each chef day includes 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) prepared fresh for your group. For example: a 6-night stay includes 3 chef days; an 8-night stay includes 4 chef days. You will only need to reimburse the chef directly for the cost of groceries. Nothing is marked up, and the chef will provide you with an invoice, payment instructions, and copies of all receipts. Food costs typically run $45–$50 per person per day based on the preset menu. Need the chef more often? Additional chef days can be added for $125 per day.
Grocery stocking service is also included with your stay. There is a provisions list of basic groceries, snack items and beverages you can fill out if you wish to have those items stocked at the house when you arrive. The chef will purchase your groceries, and you only reimburse the items bought.

**GETTING FROM THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO THE PROPERTY**
All international flights arrive and depart through Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City. From there, you have three options for getting to Placencia. After confirming your reservation, your Gecko concierge will reach out to help coordinate your preferred transfer.
Option 1 — Flying: A 30-minute domestic flight from BZE to the Placencia airstrip costs $299 USD round trip per person. Your concierge will also arrange pick-up from the Placencia airstrip directly to the property. Our concierge will work with you to book the local flights as soon as you have your international flights ready.
Option 2 — Private Shuttle: A comfortable, direct shuttle from BZE to the property takes just over 2 hours on a fully paved road. Cost is $650 USD round trip (tax included) for up to 3 passengers, plus $60 per additional person round trip (maximum 12 passengers). Our concierge will work with you to book the shuttle van as soon as you have your international flights ready.
Option 3 — Self-Drive: Prefer to explore at your own pace? Rent a car from the agency of your choice at BZE and drive yourself to the property. Be sure to secure your rental online prior to your arrival. Your concierge will provide detailed directions upon booking.

I can't say enough good things about Dolphin Beach Villa. You will not regret booking it. I'll share a few things I was unclear about before coming, thinking it might help some of you. There are 2 bedrooms on the bottom floor, one bedroom on the main/2nd floor with the kitchen and 2 porches. The 4th bedroom is on the 3rd floor as it's own stand-alone retreat with 2 porches as well (our teenage son LOVED having that as his bedroom). The 4th floor is the penthouse deck with incredible views. One review mentioned not liking there being people around the house but it didn't bother us at all. Just like you would have staff at a high end resort, these staff did a fantastic job keeping the house, pool and beach clean and treating us to coconut waters from coconuts picked from the trees in the back while we were lounging at the pool. If you're looking to have an absolutely secluded vacation where you interact with absolutely no one, this might not be the best pick for you. Our excursions were seamlessly arranged and so worth it. The snorkeling was the best I've ever experienced. The chef? Oh, I can't tell you what a delight it was. The golf cart to go down to the village was a bonus treat (but it is a 10/15 minute ride in the golf cart, so just something to keep in mind). I hope we can return and would highly this vacation home to anyone wanting to experience un-belizeable Belize.

Our vacation was wonderful! The Gecko customer service was phenomenal. The communication was great. Everyone was so helpful. The house was beautiful. It had everything we needed. The views were gorgeous. The grounds were great. We will definitely be back.

We made our first trip to Belize from 2/1–2/8/2026 with three couples, celebrating two 50th birthdays, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. The Gecko concierge team coordinated all the details in advance — excursions, massages, groceries — making the planning effortless.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. A Gecko team member greeted us with a delicious beverage, chips and salsa, and a full tour of the home. The house is exactly as described: beautiful, private, right on the water, and incredibly spacious. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, plus an extra to spare.
The service throughout the week was exceptional. Daily housekeeping (including laundry), drinking water on two levels, and fully stocked paper products meant we never had to worry about a thing. We loved the fresh coconut water drinks the team made for us. The chef-prepared meals were outstanding, and the birthday cake and decorations made our celebrations feel truly special.
Even though the weather was a bit cooler than ideal for swimming, we enjoyed relaxing outdoors, walking the beach, and playing frisbee golf. Decorating a fence board to leave our mark on the property was such a fun touch. The included 6-person golf cart was perfect for getting around — we never needed to rent a car. We made many trips into the village for amazing food, drinks, and entertainment, and met some of the kindest people all week long.
The laid-back atmosphere was exactly the escape we needed from everyday life. We can’t thank the Gecko team enough for making this such an incredible experience. We truly can’t wait to come back!
