You check in using a key box code. I am however local to the area, so if you need anything or have any questions, I am only a phone call away and a short drive!
Whitstable has lots to see and do, from taking a boat trip and soaking in the lively atmosphere and salty sea air of the Historic Harbour to strolling around the beautiful Castle grounds or visiting the local museum. A favourite pastime is catching crabs off the breakwaters and at high tide. There are plenty of places to dine or simply enjoy an ice cream whilst ambling along the stony beach. You can also buy the catch of the day from the harbour to cook at home and enjoy.
You have access to all areas in the property.
Upon entering through the front door, you'll find a large, comfortable L-shaped sofa, perfect for enjoying a good film on the Sky TV. The dining area features a table seating six, along with a desk and office chair for those needing to catch up on emails.
The kitchen is equipped with a comprehensive range of amenities, including two ovens/grills, a microwave, an induction hob, a large fridge/freezer with a water and ice cube dispenser, a wine fridge cooler, and a washer/tumble dryer
Adjoining the kitchen is a second living room, creating a perfect space for enjoying drinks while preparing meals. It's an ideal area for entertaining! The patio doors open onto the lawned garden, which features a decked seating and dining space.
Conveniently located off the kitchen is a cloakroom with a toilet and basin, as well as the first double en-suite bathroom, complete with a walk-in shower, toilet, and basin.
Upstairs, you'll find two further double en-suite bathrooms, both featuring a relaxing bath, walk-in shower, toilet, and basin. Ample hanging space is provided for your clothes, along with a dressing table in the front bedroom.
Devon Cottage is next door to Jubilee Cottage which also sleeps six so you can rent the two together to sleep twelve.
There is off-road parking for 3 cars. The nearest paid parking is Middle Wall car park. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website.
There are frequent buses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along High Street, Oxford Street etc.
The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 20 minute walk.
Whitstable Taxi services are available for short fares or airport runs.
The nearest airports are in London and the nearest Ferry port is in Dover.
