About this apartment rental
Considering the central location of this little gem, it is amazingly peaceful. There is a long driveway that takes you up to the cottage, nestled in trees, with a lovely view across the valley from the balcony, the deck, or the little fenced yard.
Being in downtown Ashland, it is across the street from the Cabaret Theater and a block from Lithia Park, three Oregon Shakespeare Theaters & the Green Show, the downtown movie theater, shops, restaurants, and a comprehensive hike & bike trail system. Southern Oregon University is also just a few blocks away with more art venues to enjoy. Ashland is nestled between 3 mountain ranges also, so there is plenty to explore, including the fruit orchards, lavender farms, and wineries in the valley. After skiing on Mt. Ashland, it is a great place to come back to relax with the fireplace and soaking tub.

The Carriage House was amazing! Better than anticipated. Super close to downtown, beautifully appointed, and priced really well! We only stayed one night while driving from California to northern Oregon but we wished we had planned our trip so we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend staying here.

This spot is perfectly located to see a Shakespeare play and visit shops and restaurants around the Ashland River and Lithia Park. Clean and air conditioned with a high ceiling and spacious bathroom. We really enjoyed the views and deck eating option and the hosts have a lovely garden and fruit trees. 3 minutes to the Shakespeare theaters walking slowly it’s a few blocks.

We’ve been VRBO-ing for several years when we come to Ashland for OSF shows, and this property is hands down one of the best price in the town and almost on top of the theaters! It is literally one block from the Thomas Theatre….. as close as the Ashland Springs Hotel, and the closest VRBO I’ve seen. Clean, quiet, well appointed. From the old downtown, you do have a steep stroll up 1st Street to Hargadine, and then about 100’ up a driveway to the unit, but just take your time! It’s worth it! Peaceful serene backyard, even had a deer eating the flower garden :)One other comparable VRBO we like, is twice as far to the theaters and nearly twice the price. This unit is definitely on our very very short list!Casey

This is a sweet, well provisioned place, close to downtown, with all the theatre within a couple blocks. My favorite part was finding a back trail into beautiful Lithia park. If you have pups, the owner is clearly a dog lover and has made it easy to bring them. Lots of sweet little outdoor spaces. Easy place to spend a weekend. Just right.
