Perched on the hills above Arudy, in the heart of the Ossau Valley in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Refuge Out of the City offers the chance to stay in a unique spot: La Cabane. This boho-chic, eco-friendly tiny house is surrounded by a stunning 20-hectare park and offers a magical view of the mountains.

This high-end, 20-square-meter ecolodge cabin can accommodate up to 4 people.
It’s a one-of-a-kind place to stay for those seeking a unique experience in the heart of nature!
La Cabane lets you fully enjoy a “slow tourism” getaway, far from the city. Two bedrooms—one upstairs—a living area facing the mountains, and a stylish bathroom. At the front of the cabin, picture yourself on the terrace, curled up in an armchair with a blanket on your lap, gazing at the majestic panorama with a cup of hot tea in hand.
Committed to responsible tourism, the cabin features: solar panels, dry toilets, locally crafted elements, and the use of materials such as natural stone and solid wood—all 100% French, with a large portion sourced from Nouvelle-Aquitaine—and our insulation is made from used jeans. The cabin’s water comes from a spring—pure, natural water with a composition that’s beneficial to your health.
There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby: hiking, biking, skiing (40 minutes from Gourette), rafting, yoga, canyoning… Or simply relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery to fully recharge!
