About this cottage rental
Beautiful, new rental, accomodates 6. On sandy beach of Black Lake.
This beautiful cottage located on the North end of Black Lake is perfect for your next family vacation. It was custom built and features 1520 sq ft of living area, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, great indoor and outdoor space, large deck, a dock for your toys, beautiful kitchen and dining area (seats 8), a nice yard and direct frontage on Black Lake. It's located in a private area and is very peaceful and quiet. There's a firepit for your evening get togethers. Includes use of the washer/dryer for your convenience. The views of the lake are spectacular and the location is tucked neatly away in a wooded area. We look forward to hosting your family soon! This is the cottage you will want to return to year after year.
*We have opted to offer Damage Insurance at the cost of $55 for your stay in lieu of a refundable security deposit. It will be listed under fees as "Damage Insurance".
*WILDLIFE DISCLAIMER*
Coming to beautiful Northern Michigan includes the possibility of wildlife encounters. We have midges, spiders, mosquitos, occasionally black flies and an assortment of other insects. We spray regularly to keep them at a manageble level but we also don't want to damage the fragile ecosystem here. Note that where there is water, there will be spiders. They are very industrious and can build back a knocked down web within a day!
They are also great for controlling mosquitos and wasps, which we appreciate.
We treasure the wildness of the North and perhaps that is what attracts you.
Consider yourself lucky if you catch a glimpse of any of our other wild neighbors - black bear, wolves, deer, elk, coyote, fox, bobcats, porcupine, skunks, raccoons, eagles, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice as well as a massive variety of birds.
We ask you to consider this before booking one of our cottages or cabins.
The presence of wildlife is part of the experience here and does not warrant a refund.

Beautiful house! Close to Black River Marina boat launch. (Marina is closed.) First time on Black Lake, the periphery of the lake is a little more shallow than neighboring lakes, but once we got used to that we fell in love with it. Calm, quiet, good for fishing, big enough for tubing & skiing. Can’t wait to come back!!

House is very nice with online pictures accurate. The lake is quiet with a beautiful view. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. The home was clean and well equipped. The lakefront is very nice and the little beach was fun for the kids. We watched the fireworks from the dock and had dinners on the picnic table. So fun!
Would have expected WiFi for the price, but otherwise it has everything we needed.

This property is absolutely beautiful! With adult kids, the twin beds were a bit small, but that didn't get in our way. The location on the lake is amazing. Perfect to bring your boat and enjoy the water. The only thing this place doesn't have is NOISE! So quiet and peaceful!! Truly a gem :) We'd love to come back again! Loved the pizza at Dirty Duck.
