ABOUT COPPER MOUNTAIN: Known as the 'Local's Favorite,' Copper Mountain is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Summit County. It is also the only ski resort that features naturally separated terrain, allowing beginners, intermediates, and experts to ski and ride on their own distinct areas of the mountain. Its central location (situated between Breckenridge/Keystone to the east and Vail to the west) makes it ideal for the guest who wants to get out and enjoy other resorts as well.

With 2433 acres of ski able terrain, Copper Mountain is the biggest and least crowded mountain resort area in Summit County, Colorado. Despite being the biggest, it has the least amount of lodging units available which is the main reason for Copper's uncrowded lifts and runs. With its naturally divided ski terrain that separates skiers by ability across the mountain, Copper has been called 'the most nearly perfect ski mountain in the United States' by the Forest Service.

It's also known as the Local's Favorite. Perhaps that's due to Copper's long, steep mogul runs, or its ample above-timberline open bowl skiing.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Check in was a little confusing (the building has no Lobby). I think you’re supposed to go to the check in building close to the entrance of center village (we didn’t do this because we thought there was a separate lobby and check-in in our building). We did eventually get some help from the admin which were thankfully near the building and they explained how to get in. Despite this, we still had a great trip (there’s a huge hot tub) and I would definitely stay again. :)

The room was exactly as described, was a great little headquarters for a trail race weekend up in the mountains. Fridge / microwave / toaster all came in handy. Only complaint is our friends in the bed closest to the door found chewed gum in a wrapper under their pillow- unsure how that was missed by the cleaning crew.

Our first time to visit Copper Mountain, participated in Courage Classic ride for Children's Hospital. Unit is basically a hotel room but served our needs just fine. It was somewhat difficult to identify which entry to use and where the parking garage was, but we sussed it out.

The check in process was very confusing and I didn't receive the check in information as promised, so we were at the property and not able to get in until after 4pm. The room is comfortable and the microwave, toaster and coffee maker worked well. We couldn't really use the closet as it was full of cleaning supplies, so our stuff took up a good portion of the room. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and pillows. If you are a sensitive sleeper I would not recommend this place. There is an Irish bar just below the window that stays open until 2am and it is super loud. We had to have the window open as there isn't any air conditioning (which is fine as Copper is not hot at night), so we could hear everything well into the middle of the night and it kept us up very late. You can also hear the tv in the room next door, which wasn't a big deal to us, but is good for others to know. I wish we had earplugs. However, if you don't mind the noise and are there to stay up late, then this is a perfect place for you as it is right by everything.
