Welcome to your downtown Bend retreat. Sunshine Daydream is IN Downtown Bend. This sweet and completely redone 1941 cottage is fully furnished with 1 king bed, 1 sleeper sofa and modern amenities. This home is perfect exploring all of downtown Bend!
DOWNTOWN LOCATION
Sunshine Daydream is right on the edge of bustling downtown Bend. You can walk anywhere downtown in just a few minutes. This is a small pocket neighborhood full of vintage craftsman homes and small cottage businesses. McMenamins is 3 blocks in one direction and Downtown Deschutes Brewery is 3 blocks in the other direction. If you want to be downtown...this is the home for you! The Old Mill, Mirror Pond, and Deschutes River all are so close... and of course Mt Bachelor is just 30 minutes up the road.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
This is a fully rejuvenated 1 bedroom home. You'll sleep soundly in the king bedroom. There is a blackout blind in the king bedroom as well as a nicely sized closet and ceiling fan. In the living room, you'll find a full sized pull out couch, perfect for kiddos or a smaller person. Extra blankets and pillows are provided.
MODERN BATHROOM WITH EXTRA DEEP SOAKING TUB
The completely refreshed bathroom features a beautifully tiled shower with a modern and extra deep soaking tub. You'll see a bit of the home's original brick chimney here as well. Fresh and fluffy white towels are provided. You'll also find some beach towels if you are headed to the river.
HEATING & COOLING
This historic home has a modern mini split heat pump system that provides A/C and heat year round. The overhead mini split is located in the living room and serves this entire tiny home. The queen bedroom also has a ceiling fan and there are cadet heaters throughout the home if you need a bit of additional heating.
OUTDOOR SPACES & SALT WATER HOT TUB
Enjoy a xericaped backyard with patio and salt water hot tub! Propane BBQ and outdoor dining table makes it so easy to enjoy days in downtown Bend. A dip in the saltwater hot tub is the perfect way to start and end your day too.
PARKING
Feel free to use the 2 dedicated parking spots next to the home during your stay. This home is on an alley so there is no street parking in front or back of the home.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
This home rests where downtown and Old Bend meet, a lovely mixed neighborhood of residences and small businesses. City of Bend quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am and are enforced as are Bend's Good Neighbor Guidelines. Between 10pm-8am, especially when outside enjoying the spaces, please keep noise levels very low and be considerate to our neighbors. We enjoyed the convenience of location to all things 'down town' in Bend. It was a quiet neighborhood, atleast the timing of our January stay. Hot tub was perfect for 2 and had great presuure as well as maintained heat so we could relax often in the jets after our outtings or just with coffee. The home offered all we needed other than access to what we assumed was a stackable washer and dryer behind a keypad door next to fridge. Would have been helpful with the bathingsuits and towels after hot tub use and before the next one.Neighboring home on west side of back porch is a law practice. The huge window of the practice that looks right into the back yard was wide open and people were in the window costantly, even after 9-5 expected hours. Waved a few times as we locked eyes while one employee was on the phone for hours and then as another employee reacted to look around the second person in window to watch one of us getting out of hot tub causing both to look. We were not planning anything naughty or illicit, but some choice of having a retractable screen or shade that could be lowered from the west end of the porch would be a fabulous addition to a lovely cottage and could possibly remind the neighboring buisness to empart some respectful privacy. We would definitely consider staying here again armed with knowing we would come with our own set of towels and a second set of bathing suits so we do not have to crawl into wet cold ones as well as know the neighbors dont use

Perfect get-away for 5 nights. Bend is so adoreable and this home was just right to explore the area. Bed was comfortable and nice back area. Kitchen perfectly stocked and in a quiet location. We left the windows open at night. We would for sure stay here again.

Great location!! Nice place. One recommendation would be potentially blinds on the front door for privacy (but it was lovely and perfect regardless) !!

Perfect location for a baseball tournament in Bend. Walkable to restaurants and shopping and fields.
