Elegant two-story villa, Casa Fandango, Playa Tamarindo and Play Langosta

We stayed for 7 days at Casa Fandango with our three teenage children. The villa itself is spacious, private, and in a great location—there was plenty of room for all five of us, and the short two-minute walk to the beach was very convenient. The pool and grounds were well maintained, with a groundskeeper there most days keeping everything clean.That said, we did experience a significant issue with the primary bedroom. On the first night, we noticed the bed, pillows, and comforter were wet, though we couldn’t immediately identify the cause. After being out all day on day two, we returned to find the bed completely soaked, with moisture extending into the mattress. It became clear the AC unit above the bed was leaking, making the bed unusable.I contacted Scott that evening, explained the situation, and mentioned we would be out again the following day so the issue could be addressed. Unfortunately, the response was not as proactive as we expected, and the urgency of the situation didn’t seem to be fully acknowledged. After pressing, he shared that he was out of the country, which may have contributed to the delay, but it still left us without a usable bed for longer than it should have.Overall, the home itself is very nice and in a great location, but situations like this highlight the importance of responsive, on-the-ground support. With more timely handling of issues, this would easily be a 5-star stay.

Host and home was amazing.

This place was incredible. Owner of the piece was incredibly responsive to few questions we had. Pool was clean and deep. Place is in close proximity to beach and restaurants. Conveniently within waking distance to supermarket. I highly recommend this place

This is a very good location. it is directly across the street from an entrance to the quiet side of the tamarindo beach and is a short walk up the hill to get to playa langosta beach. There is a surf school that meets right at the tamarindo entrance. It's easy to walk to restaurants on the tamarindo strip or to Langosta for dinner. The condo is one of four free-standing units, each with gated parking. The complex has a shared pool that is large enough to actually use and enjoy The unit is large, has high ceilings in the living area, and has a lot of outdoor space. There are 2 bedrooms each with a full bath on the first floor and then there is a 3 bed loft with a half bath that is open to the living area. This worked well for us (3 kids). The living room and each bedroom, including the loft, had smart TVs with AppleTV. The condo i would guess is 20-15 years old and is well maintained and in great shape overall. The owner was super-responsive the only time we needed anything. Seems like a nice guy.
