In the lakeside village of Riva San Vitale, nestled in the picturesque old town, you will find in LA CASETTA DI RIVA the perfect nest for your relaxing vacation!

This lovely little house because it will take you on a journey back in time, welcoming you to its 3 levels in a unique atmosphere. On floor 1, there is the dining area, with a fireplace, a dining table with wooden benches perfect for sharing meals with friends, and the original kitchen with electric hotplates, complete with everything you need to prepare lunches and dinners like at home, or experiment with delicious local products from Canton Ticino. (WARNING: the fireplace is only decorative and CANNOT BE USED!).

Going up the staircase, on floor 2 we find the bathroom with toilet and bathtub, and the living room with TV and a comfortable sofa for reading and relaxing, which becomes a bed for the night (Please note: The sofa bed will not be prepared as a bed for your arrival, as we deem it proper to use it as a sofa during the day. You will find the bed linen, pillows and blankets in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa.). On floor 3 is the master bedroom, complemented by a shower and sink for private use.



Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. 

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

Smoking is strictly prohibited. 

Any commercial activity within the apartment is prohibited.



The apartment does not have private parking, but there are paid public parking spaces within a few minutes walk.

An e-mail with the INSTRUCTIONS (including a step-by-step guide) on how to access the apartment autonomously will be sent to you after you successfully complete the online registration.

Riva San Vitale is a village in the Mendrisiotto area, south of Lugano, with numerous services, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. It overlooks Lake Lugano with its pretty hamlet of Capolago, where you can stroll along the lakeside and cool off at the Lido di Riva San Vitale during the summer season.

A few minutes away, you can reach Capolago station, where you can take the train to Lugano (about 15 minutes) or to Italy (about 20 minutes), and from where the little train that takes you to the summit of Monte Generoso also departs, or to the intermediate stop at Bellavista and then continue with a short trek to the famous Fiore di Pietra hut and restaurant (designed by the architect Botta).

It is only a 15-minute drive to Lugano. In 5 minutes you reach the FoxTown outlet and the Mendrisio Casino, as well as the wine-growing area with its wineries.

From Capolago from April to October, boats pass through to various tourist resorts (Morcote, Ponte Tresa and Porto Ceresio).



How to arrive:

By car, from the A2 motorway take exit 52-Mendrisio and set the GPS: in 5/10 minutes you will reach the apartment.

Or take Strada 2, from Chiasso 20 minutes, from Lugano 20 minutes.

By train, get off at "Capolago - Riva S. Vitale" stop, then walk 13 minutes to reach the apartment.

Or, get off at Mendrisio stop and take bus No. 531 direction "Capolago, Stazione" for 15 stops. Get off at the stop "Riva S. Vitale, Battistero." In a 3-minute walk you will reach the apartment.
