A beautifully designed and maintained self catering open plan studio in the centre of the sandy beach resort of Kokkini Hani, 12 kilometres east of Heraklion. With kind, multilingual welcoming owners Manthos and Julie, this delightful property is a perfect choice for a couples accommodating up to three people. There is a double bed and a single bed.. Together with a small outside patio surrounded by flowers and in a perfect central location this beautifully designed studio offers guests an ideal choice for both resting as well a superb base for travelling and visiting the famous places of interest on the island. The studio is just 12klm from the Heraklion City airport/ harbour and also only 3klm away from the Planetarium/ Dinosaur Park, Cretaquarium and Watercity -Waterpark. The famous Knossos Palace antiquities are 12klm and there is also a regular bus service from a stop only 50metres from the property connecting visitors to all places on the island. The property lies 100metres opposite from one one of the resort many long fine sandy beaches. There are a great choice of local bakeries, supermarkets/shops,excellent local restaurants and tavernas as well as dry cleaning facilities and pharmacies all with immediate vicinity and the multilingual owners are available to offer information and assistance with anything you need including car hire, excursions or airport transfers. A great value for money property and thoroughly recommended.

There is a kettle, toaster, cooking rings, oven, fridge/freezer, cooking utensils for making simple meals and the apartment is serviced by a cleaner three times per week with changes of towels (twice per week) and linen (once per week). Beach umbrellas are provided also free of charge upon request.

Host, Julie, was very helpful with information about the island. Also very warm and welcoming - greeted us with homemade biscuits! The complex is small and very nice and the apartment we stayed in had plenty of space. Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony to eat. We appreciate having access to a washing machine when we travel so that was nice. It was not, however, in the unit (we had easy access to it at all times though). There was also not parking on the property, as we expected, but we were able to find nearby street parking without much trouble. It was a great stay and we highly recommend it.

My daughter and I were both thrilled when we stepped out of our taxi and found Julie, our very enthusiastic host waiting for us on the sidewalk and gave us a small tour of the property as we walked to our unit. We opened the doors and found a quaint cozy 1 bed, 1 sofa(bed) ķitchen, small bathroom and out the doors to our own private patio(with furniture and shade). It was the perfect size for the two of us after a week of touring. You could not see the sea from our room. You had to cross the street and walk down a beach access to get to the beach. You have some sand beach and some rock beach so you have euchre you prefer. We weren't ín the middle of hustle and bustle of the city but the bus stop was across the street from Julie's Apts and was 10-15 minutes away. We preferred a quiet little resort area that we could leave to go see and return to our apt for early bedtimes. Unfortunately, i also know that Julie is an exceptionally gracious and kind host "nurse" if you end up not feeling well. She was quick to check on me daily, ask if I needed anything, update my family daily. She truly was an angel. Unfortunately, I stayed ìn June and should have written this review weeks ago but I was still hanging on to some of my symptoms and the weather has been sunny/ rainy every day which is always a trigger for migraines. I didn't have my own nurse at home bc she became ill after she returned home. Night nurses don't do day shift and go right back to nights easily. Bottom line, we were thrilled and loved our getaway and Julie is an amazing host and tour guidebook author! ❤️ we miss them!
